I think it's strange if so since we don't know why and I'm not sure what matchup we think he would've helped with.Belichick is going to get roasted for this decision
He was. During the anthem .My daughter said it looked like on tv that Butler was crying before the game?

It was 100% disciplinary, he played 98% of defensive plays up until this game where he played 0%.He played special teams. I doubt this was disciplinary. He has been the #1 target of opposing QBs all season.
Rowe would have been on the same guy. This one will, and should be, second guessed. Swallow your damn pride and get him in the game. Rowe was awful.
Who cares. Cut him after the game.I bet he missed the team plane and lied about having the flu and being in the hospital.
The Bademosi whiff on 3rd down is one that jumps to mind.I think it's strange if so since we don't know why and I'm not sure what matchup we think he would've helped with.
No worries I think his contract is now completeWho cares. Cut him after the game.
You do know they lost the game. Why penalize the whole team? Would Bill have done it if it was Tom?No worries I think his contract is now complete
Rowe was on Jeffrey most of the first half and he was awful. Put Gillmore on him, like they did in the second half and Butler on Agholor. Take Rowe out.I bet he missed the team plane and lied about having the flu and being in the hospital.
Rowe would have been on the same guy.
Yep he knew he wasn't playing, something was off. Last time Bill benched a player pats got embarrassed by jets.He was crying during the anthem.
BB is lying.BB just said he was benched for FOOTBALL REASONS. NOT disciplinary reasons.
Euphemism for "I have the biggest swinging dick in the room."BB just said he was benched for FOOTBALL REASONS. NOT disciplinary reasons.
Bullshit, Jordan Richards is still on the team so football reasons is a convent excuseBB just said he was benched for FOOTBALL REASONS. NOT disciplinary reasons.
Bingo. If it was a disciplinary matter and you want to make some grand statement, you don’t play him on special teams either. There is no half pregnant on something like this.He played special teams. I doubt this was disciplinary. He has been the #1 target of opposing QBs all season.
He doesn’t?Euphemism for "I have the biggest swinging dick in the room."
Well, maybe it isn't enough for some people but its enough for me. BB has earned that, to say the least. Butler's absence wasn't the reason the Patriots lost this game. It was the absence of the entire defense. They needed stops and didn't get them. Maybe Butler changes that and maybe he doesn't. Given how he has played this season, I am not sure him playing would have made a difference.BB is lying.
Jeffrey had 3 receptions on 8 targets and 70 yards. The TD catch was perfectly thrown and a nice catch. I dunno.Rowe was on Jeffrey most of the first half and he was awful. Put Gillmore on him, like they did in the second half and Butler on Agholor. Take Rowe out.
What????? You play your 1b CB on ST but not a single fucking snap in the game as that is Ok, can I have some of what you are smokingBingo. If it was a disciplinary matter and you want to make some grand statement, you don’t play him on special teams either. There is no half pregnant on something like this.
Apparently Pedersen does, so if this is the story, BB is a vainglorious clown on this one. He is also a hypocrite because his mantra is always the line about doing what is best for the team. F that in this situation. Best for the team is play Butler. He doesn’t?
Bullshit. The defense was torched tonight, and the team benched its second-beat cornerback for seemingly no reason. If Butler is on the field it’s an entirely different secondary and maybe they manage to get ONE stop in second halfWell, maybe it isn't enough for some people but its enough for me. BB has earned that, to say the least. Butler's absence wasn't the reason the Patriots lost this game. It was the absence of the entire defense. They needed stops and didn't get them. Yes but one of those was the long TD and the other was the big play on the sidelines. You can probably argue that, given the way the D played all night, changing the results on those plays ultimately wouldn’t have mattered but I have no doubt Gilmore prevents those 2 receptionsJeffrey had 3 receptions on 8 targets and 70 yards. The TD catch was perfectly thrown and a nice catch. I dunno.
One game does not give someone the biggest swinging dick.Apparently Pedersen does, so if this is the story, BB is a vainglorious clown on this one. He is also a hypocrite because his mantra is always the line about doing what is best for the team. F that in this situation. Best for the team is play Butler.
This, we needed one stop or even just hold them to an extra FG, if butler was sick don't activate him, SB is a bad stage to make a point, your face wants to know how your nose feelsBullshit. The defense was torched tonight, and the team benched its second-beat cornerback for seemingly no reason. If Butler is on the field it’s an entirely different secondary and maybe they manage to get ONE stop in second half
Well, I am glad you are so certain. I am never certain of these things but I don't view it as bullshit. The problem here is neither of us can prove our position so I guess we are at an impasse.Bullshit. The defense was torched tonight, and the team benched its second-beat cornerback for seemingly no reason. If Butler is on the field it’s an entirely different secondary and maybe they manage to get ONE stop in second half
