I lived this shitshow with the Red Sox for decades. But at least it was only 1 of 4 teams. Poor people here have it with the Caps too.

I did like him in beginning, but he's ungrowing on me. Just like McCarver. He's not quite there yet. I also think I remember liking him more, and don't watch the Mets too much, so things I think are bad are standing out more. Just my opinion , though. There are worse out there for sure.
Me too. I remind my kids of that at the end of every Nats, Caps and Wiz season. I hope they see a championship before they are grandparents. Or even see a conference championship finals appearance.

This sucks because Nats and Caps are very well run, have superstar players and generally have excellent regular seasons.
My now grown kid is a real fan of 2 teams--the Red Sox and the Blackhawks. And she started really caring in the early 2000's. She has no idea what real sports suffering is like.
Unfortunately, your kids are diametrically opposite, which really sucks for them.
