Is next year's fourth under the same restrictions as this year's first? Meaning, whichever is lower?

Trading up way ahead of time for a guy/guys not at all guaranteed to be there is kinda weird.

I am, however, surprised that they have basically punted on any of the RB choices in this draft. I thought they'd try to pick up somebody like Dixon, Booker, or Perkins.
Yeah, that surprises me. Were Dixon and Booker gone between the time they got 147 and the time they traded out?

Yeah, I wasn't sold on any of these running backs either. Hopefully, it means they are happy with the progress Lewis is making from his injury. What a difference maker he was for this offense last year. I still think they plan to get Reynolds.

Browns just took what, their third WR? Jordan Payton from UCLA.

I wouldn't sweat them not getting any of these running backs. They had their chance and said not worth it.
I am kind of back and forth on their strategy here. Do they win SB 49 without Vereen? I am guessing no. I think the third biggest injury on offense (after Solder and Edelman) this year was the loss of Lewis. Maybe they win one more game with him?

If he's still there, would love to see the Pats take a flier on Keith Marshall from Georgia with a 6th rounder. Before his injuries, he was a legit Heisman candidate with sub 4.4 speed. If he finds that speed again (and his combine suggest he has), with good size, he's a bona fide lottery ticket.

There's a long way to go for that to happen, and they have nothing to trade now to move up unless they dip into next year's draft.
He was projected as a 6th or 7th round selection. Not sure why he wouldn't be there in the 6th.
That being said, this seems to be one of those times we all think or want it to happen and it doesn't ever happen.

Jesus, Mayock and Speilman orchestrated the pick of that German kid.

Bummer year period. Just looking at the 'thank you Peyton Manning" ads confirms.
Why? It's been a fantastic offseason. The team is likely better then the one that ended last season. And they've added (hopefully) good depth in this draft. I don't think there is a position on the team that a rookie would have started for this season. This draft was always going to be about depth and 2017/beyond.

I like the S Lucas who just went to the Dolphins. Thought he would make a good ST type.
