Just for the heck of it, I'll be the optimist for a moment. Third game in four days is pretty much a scheduled loss. They hung in on the scoreboard until the 3rd period in a game in which they were dominated in every phase but goaltending. Halfway through the road trip they've got 4 out of a possible 6 points. And they did it without their best player.
Aaaaaand back to realism. Just not enough blue line talent on this team (obviously) and not enough depth up front. The lack of an even moderately useful fourth line -- which they really could've used today -- is on Sweeney.
