He and Ellsbury can recount old times while they're in the trainer's room together.

Anything out of him would be a positive, especially in a pen where the 8th inning guy right now is, um, Shawn Kelley?

I am still hoping Betances steps up in spring training, so much so that Girardi has to use him consistently. The new BP annual printed his AAA nunbers from last year once he moved to the bullpen, a 1.35 ERA in 60 innings and 83 Ks.

I'll be surprised if Bailey even makes 1 appearance for the Yankees in 2014. His shoulder is spaghetti.

I doubt Bailey pitches for the Yankees this year.  He might have a few rehab games in the minors.  Yankees have an option for 2015 so if his rehab goes well this year he could be a useful addition in 2015 when they might be losing Robertson to free agency

The option at least makes the deal interesting. With another year of healing and rehab he might actually pitch for the Yankees in 2015, though after these kind of shoulder injuries even that is far from a sure bet.
