There's lots of activity at Bayern these days.

German-American Division

Timothy Tillman
'99 is an attacking midfielder who just went on loan to Nürnberg for his first taste of first-team action. He's provisionally cap-tied to Germany having played in official UEFA U19 games, but he doesn't seem like he's on a German NT track, so if he lands in the Fabian Johnson Sweet Spot, he'll probably switch to the US.

Justin Butler '01 (CF), Jalen Hawkins '01 (winger), and Malik Tillman (CM) '02 played for the U17s last season. Butler has moved up to the U19s for this season, Tillman may split time between the U19s and U17s, and Hawkins has left to re-join Ingolstadt.

US-Produced Division

Taylor Booth
'01 (CM) is reported to be officially joining Bayern as soon as he receives an Italian passport or when he turns 18, whichever comes first. He is an RSL academy product.

Chris Richards
'00 (CB) is under contract with FC Dallas, but has been loaned to Bayern for the rest of 2018. He'll train and play with the U19 squad as part of a newly established partnership between the two clubs.

Thomas Roberts '01 (CM) is an FC Dallas academy player who is rumored to be heading for a training stint at Bayern as well. I've heard good things about him. Like Richards, he found his way to Dallas from the Deep South. Richards is from Alabama, which has produced very few active pros. Roberts is from Arkansas, which I believe has produced zero active pros.

Cameron Duke '01 who is, I think, a CM with KC's academy, is reported to be training with Bayern.

Uly Llanez '01, a touted winger with LA Galaxy's academy, is also reported to be training with Bayern. Llanez is one of the few '01s who has been regularly playing with the current US U20 squad, made up largely of 99s and 00s. He's also a player we lost to, then won back from, Mexico. From a USMNT perspective, I'd really want him to go to Europe if he goes abroad and not to Liga MX.

In other Germany news, forward Sebastian Soto '00 has been linked to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Soto's stock has been steadily rising in the last year after putting up monstrous numbers for RSL's U19 team and getting good qualitative reviews for his all-around center forward game.

Josh Gatt has returned to his first professional club, Rheindorf Altach. They are in the Austrian Bundesliga this time, whereas they were in the second tier back in 2010-11 when he got started. This is a really nice moment with Gatt, who has dealt with a ton - he's had three ACL surgeries, then his wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Happily, it turns out that his wife was misdiagnosed and in fact had a much more treatable form of cancer (which is in remission) and he's playing again.
