Nice, I've been calling for that for a while as you guys all know. Maybe they are just bringing up Tyler Austin and going back to seven relievers?

Now another writer is saying Austin is not in the SEA deal, hehe.

$1.25M more from SEA in international spending money for Warren, that seems to be the extent of the deal. Maybe they are going after Victor Victor Mesa, although he is not eligible yet.

Cashman is done trading for international money, $3.75M is the most they are allowed to trade for (75% of their initial $5M allotment).

Crazy deadline for a team on pace for 104 wins, 5 trades already this week and 1-2 more at least coming. The Astros and Red Sox have made 3 and 2 respectively, but they are doing the more traditional 'add guys to fill holes in exchange for prospects', whereas Cashman seems to have 2019 and beyond in mind as much as 2018.

That is true, but they have added Chapman, Britton, Robertson, Green, Holder and Cole since then, the only overlap is Betances.

Cashman is clearing a lot of depth, quickly. So he has to have something big coming

Lynn is only under contract this year, really makes zero sense unless they are trading Gray.

Rijo is one of many arms NY has in the low minors, I never heard of him until last week but he's not a top prospect. He is just 19, though.

I can't disagree... guess Cashman thinks Lynn for Gray is a wash and they'll restock the farm a bit with Gray
Gray is under contract for next season and not good, clearing his 2019 roster spot would be very helpful IMO, and I think he can get a good return right now (not necessarily this winter, teams are semi-desperate right now).

Ron Darling did bring up a point about Lynn's playoff experience, 24 starts (not that he'd be starting)

Looking on ESPN, Lynn's has actually been decent since the beginning of June. His Chicago start is what killed him

He looked pretty good against the Sox a few days ago, I didn't remember him sitting 94-96.
