Jon Abbey is not going to like this deal. And I don't think he's even a huge fan of Nuno, but I agree that I can't see McCarthy being that much better.
Whitley should have been first guy out of the rotation. He's a converted reliever nearing his max limit for innings and has been horrible in his last 3 starts. I guess Nuno has more value than him.DanoooME said:

As a personality, McCarthy is one of the most intelligent and interesting of baseball players. I hate to see him join the NYJeters.

It's hard not to root for McCarthy, even for you guys. I read somewhere (if I find it, I'll link to it) that Arizona forced him to change the way he pitch and that the Yankees got him to go back to who he had bee previously.
