Donaldson's 1981 original is here.

GO ROYALS!

Edit:  Lou Donaldson was 87 at the time of the concert clip.

Honestly. I hope a-rod replaces HR once he retires.
Alex, Millar, Raul, Frank from that set and any number of other guys would be better than HR. Some are posting that Fox wants a simpleton along with Buck and a bright guy like Verducci, maybe to pull in new, unsophisticated viewers. I can't think of any other reason, but they could drive away more fans than they pull in.

I can't believe all the fuss being made over the first pitch of the game yesterday.  That's great baseball.

I don't know what's worse--KC taking such offense or Collins pretty much apologizing.   I love Syndergaard owning it.

Punks, I tell ya. They act entitled just because they went to a WS last year... and lost.

LETS GOOOOOOO

Has Pseu popped in yet?

That's the closest thing to a flop I think I've ever seen by a catcher...

Edit: not sure that makes the call wrong, but d'arnaud made sure to make contact and then call to the ground

Why? Zobrist cut right in front of the catcher. It was interference.
Catcher lunged at Zobrist in an attempt to buy the call because he wasn't coming close to throwing out the runner.

It worked, but I don't give that to him because the catcher went looking for the contact.

Zobrist was hanging over the middle of the plate impeding the line to second.  That was textbook, contact or not.

I know the rule and we will have to agree to disagree. The catcher lunged left to initiate contact.

Zobrist left himself open by falling forward, and again, it worked, so it's a moot point. But I think it's a bad call all the same.
