'They were dominated by the Royals'... other than the first game, where they were down in the 9th inning and it went to 14. Can someone please destroy the Fox van's generator again?

Had to miss most of this game because of concert tickets my husband bought in June. Got back in the car to find out that Franklin Morales was pitching and I knew good things would happen for the Mets. What a loser. Tomorrow this game will be on mlbn at 1 pm in an abbreviated form, for any losers like me who had to miss it.

How much money is mastercard donating? Last time it was 4 million, which, while not bad, compared to their total advertising budget I'm sure is a drop in the bucket.

Its $4MM more than would have otherwise been donated.

In other news, Matthew Lillard warming...

So these assholes aren't going to get swept then; great, just great.

Plan B; a nutpunch game 7 loss that will leave a mark on their fanbase forever.

I had to miss a shitload of the game. How long has that asshole in back of home plate been holding up the Ted Cruz sign?

Poor Raul Mondesi making his historic MLB debut in a World Series game, getting screwed on a low strike call to put him behind 1-2.  Can't seem to post the pitchfx strikezone plot, but that pitch was low....

What was Granderson doing on the MFY? He actually seems quite likeable.

Yeah, I loved him in Detroit - seemed like a super nice kid, so was really hard to have to hate him on the Yankees....

So it's not a good idea to mix a live crowd with A-Rod doing commentary. Loud "A-ROD SUCKS" and "STEROIDS" chants during the postgame show.

Matz has great stuff but he peters out around the fifth. On paper the Mets have the advantage but i can see Chris young having a 5 ip 2 er kind of performance as the Mets swing at his slop. Hoping they learn from their game one performance against him. Would be nice is Cespedes gets a hit with men on, too. If he's not too busy.

I can see terry wanting five from matz and than 1-2 innings from niese with colon in between against righties if needed. Will be interesting to see the royals against two lefties tonight, possibly. these two can buy 6-7 innings as they bridge to familia. If one of them fails this game, and series, is over.

As for kc i am sure Yost has the same idea. 5 ip and then pen. I wonder how long can wade davis go tonight? 2 ip?

MLB should showcase their game with a day game today. Kids could watch it all the way to the end, it wouldn't be as cold, and ballparks with their green grass under blue skies look much nicer. Boo all night games. Boo.

I think rembrat likes the Mets more than the Red Sox at this point.
Hatred of the Bronx team motivates him most, no?

p.s. Al Z, I agree with you 100%, but football is Amurrica's game. It's college football today, I believe.

True about college football, but for some time now they've been putting some of their premium games in prime time. MLB might get more share on a Saturday afternoon these days. I know, World Series games have been all at night for years and they're not changing any time soon.
