We see all of these faces smiling and cheering at Murphy's, but there are tons of old men and women in their homes, or in retirement homes who are sleeping right now and are going to wake up and see that a miracle has happened and they can finally cross that line off their bucket list.
How many of those old fogey's die in the next few weeks?

Jesus, ok, this is super cool to see as a baseball fan and for the cool people that have stuck with them, but most of these guys also happen to be totally insufferable.

Also Jed Hoyer has a punchable face. OK I'm done haha.

Ross. Lester. Theo. Rizzo. Hell, even Lackey. I can't even be mad. Real happy for the 98% of Cubs fans who are probably awesome people.

My Ma's 63, Illinois born and raised. She raised me a Sox fan because we lived in New England, but she never stopped being loyal to the Cubbies. Real happy with how happy she is right now :)

Seeing Happy Chapman makes me want to strangle someone - happy for Maddon (even though he totally fucked up these past two games)

If you can't find someone, I've heard popping off a few rounds in your garage is very relaxing

What a baseball game. Being an impartial observer and watching this is just a reminder of why I've loved this sport since I was 5. Of course the Nike commercial with that kid doing what I did countless times was a nice reinforcer, too.

Congrats to all Cubs fans everywhere.

I'd like to read a Cubs version of the "Win it for..." thread and subsequent book. Stories like that are priceless.
