Darvish blew up tonight, but this was a weak offensive performance from the Dodgers too. Even with BABIP favoring Houston.

Congrats to the Astros and their fans.

Hopefully, next year, our guys will be the ones to take the trophy. Onto the offseason.

Congrats to the Astros. Beat 3 top payrolls in MLB in the playoffs, won 2 game 7s, the second on the road and A generally likable team. Their waiver pick up of Verlander was a very smart move.

The AL is going to be a beast for the coming years.

Awesome series. Thank you Dodgers and Astros for one hell of a World Series. Definitely gained a lot of baseball fans.

you can post that SI article all you want, but they don't win without Verlander. almost always have to supplement with a key deadline deal.

Meanwhile LA's big deadline deal, Darvish, was a big chunk of why they lost this series.

Man even the soccer headline on that SI issue can be read as prescient out of context, someone should check their offices for Biff's almanac.

Glad Houston won, love how they built their team. Happy for Reddick and Verlander to get rings.

Great series to watch coming from someone with no rooting interest in it.

Are you saying the author of the SI article's prediction isn't valid because he didn't also predict a trade deadline deal for Verlander?

Otherwise, I have no idea what your point is.

I love that on a Red.Sox board, members pulling for the Dodgers are saying they lost, not that Houston won

Tough to win any game only scoring 1 run

not that it isn't valid but their approach isn't close to everything, that's all.

man, when's the last time Houston as a city won anything? is this the first time?

Yu Darvish lost so much money in the last week, maybe $50M on his next deal.

The article was written after they lost 113 games in 2013. Nit pick all you want. It's a great call .. ..who the heck cares if they were savvy enough to snag Verlander along the way...??
