Springer is a UConn guy, huge Sox fan, great kid. I’d love to see him in a Sox uniform after 2019

The Astros have just seen Darvish too many times at this point. Terrible decision to start him and too slow a hook.

Fox really needs to fix their behind home plate ads. Sick of seeing a pink baseball every time it passes in front of the T-Mobile ad.

I think starting him was fine, and he did get a bit unlucky in the 1st. But he absolutely never should've pitched to Springer.

I can't believe Roberts fucked this up so majestically. Did he not game plan Darvish getting hit hard early? Especially after his last start, this should have been like that Rays-Sox playoff game that Hellickson started and Maddon had the pen warming in the 1st and pulled him at the first sign of trouble in the 2nd. Especially if the decision had been made to use Kershaw. Clean up the mess in the 2nd, use the pinch hitter and hand the 3rd to Kershaw.

Can see why some managers, like Bochy, would opt for including more veterans than kids for post season teams, all other things being equal. Not that you could leave off Bellinger, but boy has he struggled.

It's almost unfathomable how quick the hooks have become this postseason. So quick that some are complaining Darvish wasn't pulled sooner. This is a massive strategic change in the game that seems to have occurred in just 2 seasons.

Jack Morris would be rolling over in his grave - if he were, you know, dead.

Should have at least moved him down in the order.

If his spot in the order comes up again in a big spot with runners on, I don't know how Roberts can't pinch hit for him. Kershaw would give him a better at bat than Bellinger right now.
