It's kind of an unfortunate position in which to have such an embarrassment of riches. Everyone would prefer to have multiple top shelf midfielders. Though I'm sure Spain would commit genocide to have someone of Ochoa's caliber as a backup.

Spain did have someone of Ochoa's calibre as a backup.  I bet he starts tomorrow though, as they didn't have anyone at his calibre starting vs. NED.

Definitely. He's gone from golden boy to forgotten to national hero. Corona is a really good keeper and he became a national hero because of his performance in the Olympics. But there's no way he hasn't been Wally Pipped by Ochoa.

Spain have Pepe Reina and David de Gea as backup GKs, they're both excellent.  Spain's issue with the goaltender position is politics, not talent.  Although Casillas's foibles may have solved the politics problem.

Korea's biggest mistake tonight was starting Arsenal FC for the first 55 minutes. It was a fair first match though. Now, we must beat Algeria and go from there.

Most interestingly, Korea's goal scorer Lee Keun-Ho plays for the Korean army and makes about 150 USD per year. Of course, this is the lowest salary of all players in the WC. Ronaldo = 40,000 Lee Keun-Hos

Bulgogi bibimbap + rice wine and Fuck Buttons after the match helped my recovery. Goodnight.

Yeah, that's what I get for posting drunk and in the afterglow of the game.
