Preview of Gase as he watches the proceedings on the field:

The NFL needs to have two divisions with promotion / relegation between them.

Last week, my appreciation for Flo held back my desire for a complete destruction.
I have no such restraint this week. Consume their souls and kill them in the eyeball.

62-0.with someone starting a goat thread about how Ghost missed an extra point in the third quarter.

Taking my 93 year old father tomorrow - he and I were at the 56-3 win , 40 years ago.
Grogan was 13-18 for 315 passing yards and 5 TDs in that game. Stanley Morgan had three receptions for 102 yards and two TDs and Harold Jackson had three receptions for 121 yards and three TDs. Here’s to hoping for a repeat of that thrashing. I’m certain you and your father deserve it.

I wonder if that was the game CBS, or whoever was carrying the games back then, switched away from to a “more competitive” game. Pissed me off royally because we got very few Pats games in California back then. Couldn’t even finish one.

Have a great time, both of you.

We were also at the 55-21 thrashing of the Jets the previous year, where the crowd was so plowed and there were so many arrests that Foxborough banned Monday night games for years and years. I'm no angel, but that crowd was the worst. Animals.

On a different note, the last game that Dad was able to attend was the AFC Championship game against the Chargers, where LDT sat, Rivers played on one knee, and the Pats went 18-0 (sigh) - temperature was below 0, but dad loves his Pats.

White out. Another baby.

Edit: feels like an ugly game today. Something like 23-12. Just win and avoid injuries.

I'll go lower, 16-10 Pats victory, unless the defense or special teams throw in a touchdown.

I don’t see how the Jets score against this defense. I think the Pats run the ball on offense, create turnovers on defense, and we are looking at a plodding 34-3 type of game.

I can't see a 3rd string rookie QB putting up points against the D. LeVeon Bell is going to have a very long afternoon.

Is the Jets punter any good?

If they can avoid turnover and penalties the Pats should have a ton of drives starting around near midfield.

Pats 38-10

Unless the long with LeVeon is for long gains, this should be a rout. BB is going for the throat this year, calling a timeout late to let the defense catch their breath and another time to get defensive starters back in the game to a prevent a garbage time touchdown. Stuff like that. Taking no prisoners, especially ones dressed in green.

Pats can be the first team since the 1937 Bears to start a season 3 games no touchdowns against (NFLN this morning). Prominent player on that Bears team was Bronko Nagurski. You know that Bill is big on football history. If he has a chance, he should go for this.

Agreed on Bell. He's the one guy who can be a headache, so BB will likely take that option away. So probably a lot of 3rd and longs for Falk against what seems to be a scary good veteran D. This should be a lopsided ugly rout of a game.

If he ever goes on trial, they'll need Lynn Johnston as the courtroom artist

I'm excited for Myers, Bailey, Gunner, Winovich, and Jakob "Hammerhead" Johnson.

P. S. Sounds like what I might have wrote in a pre-season game thread.

what could possibly go wrong?
Anyone have a link that doesn’t involve 17 viruses?
I don’t know. Players flying around, things happening from all directions. I guess playing any position can get you hurt though. Why not one of the lower echelon linebackers playing on ST’s instead of Hightower?
