We’re heading back down to that humid, half-filled sweatbox to play some football.

By Saturday the point spread may approximate what you’d expect from a game between Alabama and the Rocco Clubbo School for Women, but there’s a reason why they play the games.

Mission: Get the fuck out of there with a convincing victory and no notable injuries.

Pats blow out Pitt. Baltimore blows out Miami. Should be a cake walk Sunday?! Nothing is as easy at it seems in Miami and NFL stands for No Freaking Logic. Pats are favored by 19. The last time a road team was favored by that many points was in 2007 (Patriots 19.5-point favorite at Baltimore) Pats won that game 27-24. I'll take the 19.

CON: driving out to visit our frosh at college on Sunday.

PRO: G-burg appears to have Pats-Phins as their early game, as per The506 (H-burg market). I told frosh to scrap the idea of sushi or Chinese for lunch, and find a joint with big screens and NFL Sunday cheap app specials.

Weather no issue this weekend in South Florida except for usual heat, humidity, and maybe some passing showers. What will be TS Humberto will pass well to the east of Florida.

Of course Miami chooses white - it reflects the sun’s heat more than black or blue or any other color. Run up a huge lead like the Ravens and let Stidham come out to play.
If they get heavy rain the night before, maybe the Dolphins can "forget" to cover the field.

Oh wait; that was Shula who pulled that crap, nevermind.

No injuries, please.

Score enough that we see Stidham for the 4th quarter.

Make their 8 fans so sad that they leave early and forget their Starter jackets.

Murder their faces.

Missing my first Patriots game in 4 years to go to The Book of Mormon on Broadway with my husband and the in-laws. Just hoping to turn on my phone afterwards to a win and all hands healthy on deck.

I think Damien Harris is getting the red-shirt treatment, ala James White (although they're obviously different type of RBs).

WHo are the 5 guys who are newly active this week? Antonio Brown, Korey Cunningham, Kyle Van Noy, Byron Cowart, and... Marshall Newhouse?

What happened to Bodine? Did they take one look and decide he was toast?

Hope to see improvement from Ted "Flutter" Karras

My analysis of the inactive:

1. BB doesn't want to F up his whole offensive line by shifting Thuney to tackle, so with Cannon out he is dressing 2 tackles (Cunningham and Newhouse).

2. He likes Ferentz better than Elumenor as the interior OL backup (with Karras shifting to G if a guard goes down).

3. Bolden is hurt (was on the injury report).

4. With Van Noy back and Winovich having played well in limited action, the Pats have enough depth at OL/edge to sit Wise in favor of DT Cowart, which gives BB another rotational big body to use in the Miami heat.

This seems accurate to me.

How Bill uses AB today is one of the more interesting pre-game player usage questions I can remember in recent history. If how Josh Green was weaved in is a guide, it wont be a lot right away. Seems reasonable to think Brown will be in there for 20ish plays.

But dare to dream. Imagine this guy coming in and having a monster game. The amount of whining we will see and hear over the next several days would be epic. What a chance for so many in the media to embarrass themselves and provide lots of fodder for future NFL Films episodes.

One more thing: Squish, murder and destroy them. Show Flores no mercy. A big win would be very enjoyable.
