Two score and seven years ago, on May 19, 1976, NBA Legend Kevin Maurice Garnett was born in Greenville, SC., a city not a stranger to things SoSH.

He famously proclaimed that Anything is Possible! And he was correct. Even winning at home.

Dear Celtics, make this warrior-man proud. Play relentless defense, with hands up in shooters' faces, like he did. Box out and rebound, like he did. Make your teammates better, like he did. Play with passion, effort, and hustle, like he did. And most importantly, play each and every possession, all 48 minutes worth (and 53 if need be), like he did. Do those FIVE things, and you will see success. Do it for KG. Rip'it.

Anew. This series and in wins therein. Let's do this. Win #1 incoming. The X Man has cometh.

Was I the only one who thought Garnett said in that interview on the day of Game 6, live, he said: "KG's possibluuhhlllllll!" and not anything's? Like referring to his own dreams realized above all else?

I don't give a crap about officiating or timeouts or perfect execution. I don't care if Tatum and Brown are bricklayers or if Smart does anything wrong or if Brogdon and White struggle and on and on.

Just win. Pretty. Ugly. It matters not one bit for anything including the next game. Just win.

Ugh. So fucking typical. Start to open a lead and it’s immediately cue the sloppy play and turnovers.

*I may miss the start of the game, so just going ahead and posting this now.

I really feel for all of you in the east coast; I’m in west coast time and even I find this moving things back an hour intolerable.

May those of you who pass out before the final buzzer awake to a WIN.

Keep focus for 48 minutes. That’s all I ask. The Heat will not go away no matter what so don’t play the scoreboard and think one half of good play will be enough.
I don’t see this being possible with this team. I’m just hoping they don’t lose focus for more than 2 stretches of no more than 4 minutes each. That should be enough.

Tyler Ford is the one who has had issues with Tatum, right? Damn.
Tyler Ford is one of the crew of bald referees who all look alike and are all awful (Goble brothers round out the trio). I think he has issues with everyone because he sucks

I'll be on a plane from Florida watching. Please let the Celtic fans returning home be happier than the deplaning Floridians.

Yes, whatever it takes. Even if it means spending a timeout in the first half of the 3rd quarter.
I see we have some solid expectations management going on here.

I break shit if we lose this game.

I don’t want to have to break shit.

not a huge fan of starting double bigs again. Hope Joe has a quick hook if Heat start exploiting Rob again

Don't dribble the ball off your feet.
Make your Free Throws.
Make layups.
Win.

Rob was fine in the first half of Game 1, as we were the C's. They led by nine at the break, and he had 12 points, if memory serves.

Around the middle of the 2nd the Heat made some tweaks that basically eliminated him on offense and he was struggling with defensive positioning.. rebounded decently though.
The bigger thing is that 2 Bigs means Love isn't a liability anymore which is a place most teams hunted MIA once he got there.

As long as the Celtics win I don’t care if CJM uses all of his timeouts or none of them.

I can’t stand it when Pat Riley’s team wins.

Masticate Miami and then spit them out in the garbage where they belong.

Defend your goddamn home court and play up to your capabilities. Also Coach - no friggin experimenting with Pritchard today. Play Derrick White, one of your top 4 players for more than friggin 20 mins

Hoping D. White can get his confidence back. Early in the first series his floaters just felt automatic.
