How do you get it through your cable plan? When I go to the app it asks me to sign up for a subscription, and there's no option to enter my cable subscription info to link it.

According to this, I think you can watch Peacock on FIOS by logging into the FIOS website with a device or app and somehow navigating to Peacock, but there is no channel on your set-top box for you to watch Peacock on your tv.
This is bullshit. There's absolutely no reason why a playoff game shouldn't be available without the need to order an additional service.
No, and I haven't bothered to watch any of the Sox games that moved to streaming from NESN either (e.g., Apple). Not even the free with account creation ones. Too much hassle for sports games to keep juggling all of these content delivery variables. There are a bajillion other things to watch anyway.

If it was the Pats then yes, but nope for this game. I can miss one playoff game, there are plenty of other things to watch on TV. I already have too many streaming services and don't want/need to add another.
I will not watch or buy the service. From what I have read, the game will still be on local TV stations for the 2 markets. If you're based in either city, you will not have to get Peacock just to watch the game.

I am partially convinced this is a thing because it allows a segment of the football watching population to make lots of cock jokes.
Think I got it for some sports thing originally but we’re currently rewatching Brooklyn 99 on there and enjoying it.
I'm not a soccer guy but I believe NBC puts a lot of the Premier League behind the Peacock paywall.
NBC has done this before with other sports. They put some of their golf coverage exclusively on Peacock. There used to be free Peacock and a premium Peacock but somwhere along the wya they made it all subscription based.
NBC sucks.
Some, like me, were just "given" it by Comcast. My sister and B-i-L got it as a standalone to watch EPL.

As some have said, the EPL and a lot of their PGA coverage has gone there, as well as many of the NBC classics like The Office and Brooklyn 99 that got clawed back from Netflix. Most of the SNL back catalog is there and the WWE Network (including live PPVs) got rolled into Peacock for US customers. They also have their own version of Tubi/Pluto within the app that plays a lot of the NBC/Universal back catalog of shows(all of the Law and Order franchise, Hallmark Channel etc) on a loop.
As cord-cutting continues to accelerate and the streamers move away from a Prestige TV focus towards a more broad-based approach, live sports is becoming more and more important. Apple has their weekly MLB slate and nearly got the Sunday Ticket package before Google swooped in, picking up MLS as a consolation. MAX is investing heavy into a sports add-on that includes March Madness, NBA, NHL and US Soccer. Paramount+ lets you stream your in-market NFL on CBS game and has a selection of Euro soccer leagues and the NWSL. Amazon continues to expand their NFL presence, with TNF having probably their best slate of games since they took over and the addition of the Black Friday game. They're also reportedly looking to push into MLB streaming, offering to pick up some of the defunct RSNs that got caught up in the Ballys/Diamond bankruptcy. Disney is seemingly prepared for ESPN to eventually exist mostly as a streaming entity and is beginning to integrate the Hulu live package into Disney+.

I hate both of these teams, so no interest in the game other than hoping my squares hit. If it were on TV I'd flip to it during commercials and intermissions of the Bruins game, but certainly not subscribing to see it considering all of the above.
I live in Canada, where they haven't done deals with all these various streaming platforms.
So, as with all the other streamed games this season, I can watch it through the regular broadcast options on Canadian TV, CTV and TSN.

I actually think Peacock is one of the more underrated streaming services as at $7 (cheapest of them), you get EPL, all the WWE PPV events, and Universal movies right out of theatrical release--I third the recommendation of getting it for The Holdovers, one of my three favorite movies of the year.
I understand that in the invariable consolidation that's going to happen, Peacock is unlikely to survive, but I would cut a few other services before them.

NBCU paid the NFL over $100 million to get this exclusive game for Peacock. Any media company or streaming company who wants to cut the NFL a 9-figure check for one game is going to be happily obliged by the league.

Like others, I get it via Xfinity already. If I didn't there is no way I'd pay to watch it. That said, I won't be home Saturday night anyway so I won't be watching.
I have Peacock (Hooray Premier League) but I am probably not watching the game. That said it is probably one of the better streaming services. I would choose it over Max and Paramount+

Not planning on paying, and I’m a decent NFL fan (I paid for Sunday Ticket). It’s not money, it’s principle I guess. I don’t really like the Thursday games, but I already have Prime. At some point they will put playoff games on Paramount+ , Disney+ appleTV etc - we have to draw the line somewhere. The NFL will keep pushing if they don’t see resistance.
I happen to have Peacock, but whenever I see games on streaming I kind of feel for the local bars that have patrons coming in to ask for the game to be put on. Then the bartender surfs around the usual channels without finding it, before someone finally realizes it is only on streaming. Fortunately the club I regularly go to has smart TVs and someone or other will cast the game from their phone app from Amazon or wherever to the screen.
Just realized a family member logged into it when they were visiting for Christmas, so I guess I will be watching.
It was free, but now they want $2.99 a month extra for 12 months. After that, they'll presumably increase prices.

I’d be curious what you learn about this, or what others know. I have FiOS and am paying for Peacock. Wouldn’t be the first time I stupidly pissed money away, but if I did screw up I’d like to fix it going forward.
I've had Peacock for soccer and will of course watch. If I didn't have it I would certainly pay the price of a Medium Dunkies for me and the wife to watch an NFL playoff game.
That’s sixteen days (actually longer with soccer and maybe tennis too) so worth it to get a month and every 2/4 years (if you want winter or not)

I already have Peacock for soccer (and re-upped it on that $20/year black friday deal that was going on in November, so the cost is extremely minor anyways) so I would be fine theoretically watching Peacock-exclusive games (we don't pay for cable or a streaming-cable-replacement-service like youtubetv or whatever, so I'd actually prefer more games move to a la carte streaming platforms). But Saturday nights typically aren't for sports viewing in our household, although the Taylor Swift connection may get the missus interests enough to watch. I want both teams to lose so it's not exactly must-see TV for my own happiness.
Due to this thread I did some googling and other searching on this and it doesn't appear to be true anymore. I couldn't find any place on the Peacock or Fios sites to add my Fios username/password to unlock some free Peacock content.
The Amazon and Peacock games (along with Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV) all have their bar/restaurant distribution handled by DirecTV. So if the bar has that service then they can put those games on their TVs via their regular set top boxes.
Of course if they have a different cable/satellite service then they’re out of luck. But a LOT of places have DirecTV due to them having Sunday Ticket forever.
Often if someone working there can’t find the game it’s because they don’t know how to search for it in the program guide. I had that happen at a hotel bar recently.
NBCU got rid of the “free” access to Peacock for Xfinity customers and every other cable system they had a deal with (Spectrum was one). All gotta pay now.
This isn't true. I just checked my bill and my cost for Peacock is $0. After 24 months that will change apparently, but for right now it's included in my package.
