It doesn’t, but getting destroyed, struggling to your feet, pointing to your head and then collapsing to your knees before you leave the field creates a presumption that something might be amiss.
Absolutely. And a doc looked at him. If it's a complete farce, then some player is gonna spill the beans on it sooner or later and the NFL can't have that.

EDIT: Then again, it is the NFL.

Right, but as I said above, in the context of the play as it unfolded and his reaction after - and the general shitiness of the NFL concussion protocol - it’s not unreasonable to ask questions.

Edit: and you may well be right about why he went down. But forgive me if I’m a bit cynical about how the NFL handles these things.
Definitely not unreasonable to ask questions. Just not sure this is the worst example we've seen. Shit, wasn't Savage having a seizure in the end zone a couple weeks ago, and then came back in? I agree the protocol is a joke, just not sure it was so clear cut in this instance.

You have to put that in Brees’s hands. Carolina had I think ten men in the box.

An independent doctor at that with no rooting interest besides to protect his reputation.

He picked it off, realized he shouldn't have, and then tried to fumble it and get the incomplete.

What a catch by Funchess, playing on one leg.
