Moore, with time and protection to calmly survey the field, throws it over the middle of the field to absolutely nobody, but yeah, he's totally right in the head.

Miami had some momentum but the unsportsmanlike killed it. have to stop retaliating and let the flags do the talking.

The unsportsmanlike on Miami was bullshit. Of course you're going to be pissed when you just saw your quarterback get murdered like that.

Man I'd love to light up Pittsburgh's shitty defense in Foxboro. That's if post-bye Andy Reid doesn't do it first.

If your best offensive player is a center...you suck.
Totally missing the point. Pouncey's ridiculous ability to get to the second level is what makes the Dolphins run game go. The proof is in the pudding: they average 150 rushing yards with him and 95 without him.

I can't fault a player for being hot after an attempt was made on his QB's life. Officials need to get the situation under control without tossing flags.

This won't be popular in a Pats forum, but the solution is to let defenders go low on QBs, at least outside the pocket. If you care about players' long-term welfare, you should be willing to trade some ACL injuries for some concussions.

He had his entire body to hit and went for the head. This had nothing to do with not being able to go low.

He led with the crown of his helmet and hit the QB in directly in the chin. Why do you want that hit to be legal?
He didn't launch himself into Moore, he didn't leave his feet . But he was running full speed at a moving object. I'm not sure what Dupree was supposed to do differently. is he supposed to slow down before he hits Moore to double make sure that he misses his chin? That's not a reasonable expectation.

Look if he left his feet and launched himself like a missile then I'd agree that it was dirty. But when two large people are running full speed like that then sometimes helmets are going to hit Chins or other helmets. I don't know what you could reasonably expect the defender to do different, Unless you want the defender to slow down or go for the knees. I wouldn't define either of those as reasonable.

The fair thing to do by the refs there would have been to be generous about saying that Ajayi's foul was a continuation foul so they offset, or better to find a way to call offsetting after the play fouls.

I think you're overrating the severity of the hit (Dupree intended to hit him legally), but I agree that flagging the extracurriculars in a playoff game is weak sauce. Wonder if there was an n-word thrown out or something, such that the officials felt they had no choice.

He shoved a guy right in the chest! You can't have that kind of violence in a football game. I'm surprised Ajayi wasn't ejected by the NFL refs.

How are you certain of this?

I hate when the Steelers play on CBS.
They put the stupid down and distance in Yellow and when I catch the Yelloe out of the corner of my eye on the bottom of the screen my brain is conditioned to think "Flag".

3rd and 4 and Miami tasks a LB to run across the formation to cover Bell who easily makes the catch and gets the 4 yards.

Or not call it since they've let far worse go already in this game as long as the guy doing it was wearing black and yellow.

To start with, he could have led with his shoulder and tackled the way you are supposed to tackle, with your head up.

He also could have hit him somewhere other than the head.

And your nuts if you think he didn't launch.

He launched head high at a QB who had already thrown it. It was dirty as fuck.

In hindsight, knowing he comes back in? Sure. But at the time of the flag Moore was still on the ground being attended to. You are right, however, the flag could have been for language or taunting.

There no reason to think otherwise. Moore's head dipped when he threw the ball, and Dupree hit him in the chin.
As others have said, He had his entire torso to aim at. He chose to hit him shoulders or above
