Playoff QB performances so far:

Allen: 21-25 (84.0%), 308 yds, 5 td, 0 int, 66 yds rushing
Brady: 29-37 (78.4%), 271 yds, 7.3 y/a, 2 td, 0 int
Jimmy G: 16-25 (64.0%), 172 yds, 6.9 y/a, 0 td, 1 int, 1 yd rushing
Dak: 23-43 (53.5%), 254 yds, 5.9 y/a, 1 td, 1 int, 27 yds rushing, 1 rush td
Hurts: 23-43 (53.5%), 258 yds, 6.0 y/a, 1 td, 2 int, 39 yds rushing
Mac: 24-38 (63.2%), 232 yds, 6.1 y/a, 2 td, 2 int, 18 yds rushing
Burrow: 24-34 (70.6%), 244 yds, 7.2 y/a, 2 td, 0 int, -2 yds rushing
Carr: 29-54 (53.7%), 310 yds, 5.7 y/a, 1 td, 1 int, 20 yds rushing

So far here's how I'd rank their performances:

1. Allen
2. Brady
3. Burrow
4. Mac
5. Carr
6. Dak
7. Jimmy G
8. Hurts
Mac ahead of Carr and Jimmy G is wrong. Jimmy G is also way too low.

Considering Mac was down 30 points all game, his stats are very poor.

Not Lynn (or Ocean Side)
This will be the Steelers only chance of staying in this game.
A meteorite striking the Chiefs’ sideline is their only chance.

But seriously, keeping the Chiefs off the field, somehow finding a way to run the ball, and getting damn lucky is their best hope. I just don’t have much faith in Matt Canada or Ben. They have a great RB but they don’t have a good OL and the QB can’t keep defenses on guard because he can’t or won’t throw downfield anymore. The best thing for the franchise would have been Baltimore and Cleveland not falling off the edge of the planet in the last month and a half of the season so that they weren’t able to squeeze into the playoffs, thus maximizing draft position and starting their much-needed restocking.

The reason he triple tapped was because he was trying to get them an extra play as best he could without even looking over at the line judge to see where to spot it. They actually tried to help the Cowboys. Normal administration and it is not even close I bet.
They made an idiotic call with no timeouts. They don’t get an extra play because it’s not fair that they are stupid.
I think the ball slipped out of his hand the first time. It MAYBE cost a second, but I don't think the Cowboys were only 1 second away from getting that ball spiked.

Generally we tell teams that if the ball is dead with more than 10 seconds on the clock, they should expect to get another play. With less than 10 they probably won't. The crew went about as fast as humanly possible here and the the play didn't get off, it's not fair to the 49ers to essentially give the offense a timeout and reset the clock to 1 second because the U didn't get there as fast as Usain Bolt might have.
I said up front it was stupid. I agree. You are running down the middle of the field with no timeouts and 14s. Or go down a few yards shorter to allow the team and refs to get up there.

I couldn't care less about Dallas. A 1 second play would have been great for drama.

But what was also weird is the ref had to run 25 yards, I thought under 2 min they moved to the defensive side or something to help reduce this issue. I may be confused who is moving and spotting.
Something like this https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/07/17/nfl-changes-rules-regarding-umpires-positioning/

Again, dumb dumb play call.

I disagree. Mac made a bunch of plays. Bolden dropped a 30 yard gain. Jonnu tipped one away from his own guy. I thought he played a pretty good, gutsy game.

I was behind so had to go out for a while and just caught up, I thought Romo was great on this game. His slight Cowboys homerism and rage at penalties was fun.

BSJ is practicing to be Mac’s agent. It’s so homer it would make Tommy H. blush.

They lost 47-17.

Gutsy is not the word to describe his game when they lost by 30 and also got humiliated.
I know they did. They scored more points than Dallas did. He played gutsy because he and Bourne were basically the only guys who laid it all out there. He took shots and kept going. It wasn't his fault that the defense gave up a touchdown on EVERY SINGLE DRIVE.

It's ok to disagree.

Are the odds just catching up to Mahomes with those wild, unorthodox plays or is it more related to his own performance?

I mean, do you really think the Bills were out there trying their hardest with 100% focus on defense for the last 14 of those 17 points?
I think they were trying to keep NE from scoring every single time. They wanted to absolutely humiliate the Patriots, yes.

But whatever. Not a big deal.

"scored more points than Dallas" When did they score those "points"?

The game was over at halftime. Mac threw an INT early in the game and, in retrospect, ended the game. They got humiliated. And you ranked Mac 4th out of 8 QBs, and put him behind a Qb who won (and had a way better y/a)and Carr.

Mac is ahead of Hurts. And that is it and it's not really close. I love Mac. But I don't want to pretend he was good yesterday, he wasn't. He was the QB on a team that couldn't move the ball at all until the game was over.

I agree with the top three, in order.

I think you have to give Jimmy G the #4 spot — best Y/A of the bunch, plus his team won. I don’t think there’s much difference from 5 through 8; you could convince me to put them in any order you want.

I'm in the "playing QB when the game is close and the opposing defense is playing their hearts out in order to keep the lead is harder than throwing for 200 yards and 2 TDs in the second half of a 40 point blowout" camp.
Imagine showering a QB with praise in a game that was over at halftime. Not a single play in the final 30 minutes had any impact on the game.
