PItchers w/ a triple in postseason game:

Archie Bradley
Dontrelle Willis
Tom Glavine
Dutch Ruether
Babe Ruth
Cy Young
Had 2 in Game 1 of the 1919 WS. Also something of a CGSO: Went the requisite 9, but gave up an unearned run of sorts thanks to a Kopf error to Shoeless Joe.

Edit: I don't get how Ernie and Ron think finding these type of stats are hard these days. Really. Would love to have that kind of job. Fascinating, fun, at least for me, sure, but also pretty simple.

Not any more...
Agreed with you at time of posting, but, umm...maybe we need a Yorvit Torrealba instead?

Bradley giveth, Bradley taketh away.
Get out of my head, man. :)

My brother does this for NBC sports, he's done it for a long long time. Nice gig if it's your thing and you can get hired, I guess.

Kinda did four times in 2004.
But at least that was because your team lost three times first, the one game series has no context. If you lose it, it's like your whole season ends up in some sort of limbo, in between the regular season and the real playoffs. I fucking hate it.

I'm so glad that I have zero rooting interest in this game...it's plenty intense and entertaining on it's own, I would be very anxious as a fan of either team at this point.

I'm starting to really enjoy it, but the one situation where I'd hate it would be if the Sox had to play against an inferior team (which is what you just had to deal with). That would be very stressful.

Who designs the D-backs uniforms? They have those godawful dark gray road ones and these home ones have the look of the player sweating because of the gray patch on the upper back.

Yeah, nothing to lose, and just one game. Really stressful, and artificially so.
