Yeah, nothing to lose, and just one game. Really stressful, and artificially so.
That's why I like it, though. It seems a fitting reward / punishment for having good season / not winning the division. The games do tend to be fascinating and intense.

Really disliked that last pitch delivery (before the double) by Holland, scouting-wise. The ball is out of his glove before the ball is released, then put back in. Find that especially dangerous with a runner on second.

Well yeah. Okay. Kind of was hoping this to assured to be a one-run game in the ninth for the drama. Ah, well, it's Rodney, could still happen, easily.

Again, it depends on the specifics. In 2015, the Pirates won 98 games and had the second best record in all of baseball, and they had to face the Cubs, who had won 97 and had the third best record in all of baseball, plus they had the untouchable at that point Jake Arrieta. That just sucks.

That's game. These outfielders have been playing too shallow I think.
What's that, 4 triples in this game?

Also--anyone know what the deal is with the front seats behind home plate?

as I said earlier that seems to be a VERY spacious camera location, those are folding chairs and from age and what they are wearing, I'm guessing Diamondback employees/staff ....

I think they are "on field suites." They have them down the lines too.

This would have been a heck of a game to attend.

After a busy work stretch lately, this is my first evening to relax and enjoy a ballgame in a while...I was annoyed before it started that it wasn't a game that I cared about at all. Turns out it's been thoroughly entertaining.

I'm pretty sure those aren't staff. If you sit in those seats you have to have diamond backs gear. I remember a big issue a few years ago where a group wore gear for the other team, and they had to take it off.

For Rockies or D-Backs fans, but we'd all be drunk and suicidal.
