This.

What brings me enjoyment about my football team is winning. Not friendly interviews or press conferences. I want to see the Pats in the Super Bowl to win it, not to have a really awesome media day.

Not sure where else to put this....

Do NOT make the mistake that I did of listening to this Denver radio show.  They're such homers they make Zolak sound like Felger.  But I caught their interview with U of Colorado alum (current Denver resident), and former NFL linebacker, Chad Brown.  As most will remember, he spent two (plus) seasons in Foxborough.  He came off like a douchebag in the interview, agreeing with the hosts that, "New Englanders miserable people" but he did say this about Belichick:

"I played in the NFL 12 years before I got to the the New England Patriots. In year 13, I learned more about football in that one year than I learned in my previous 12 years in the NFL. And I was playing for guys like Mike Holmgren and Ray Rhodes, and Dick LeBeau, and Bill Cowher.  So it wasn't like I was exposed to some awful coaches, it just show you how good Bill Belichick is."

Cardinals coach thanks Bill Belichick for Tommy Kelly

Perhaps no player better encapsulates the prowess of the Arizona Cardinals' coaching staff than rejuvenated defensive end Tommy Kelly.

A disappointment in one season with the Patriots, Kelly was released in August as a 34-year-old veteran coming off ACL surgery. Now he's making plays on a weekly basis, filling three-time Pro Bowler Darnell Dockett's shoes on an overachieving defensive line that became the first this season to shut down DeMarco Murray.

"Tell Bill (Belichick) I said, 'Thank you,'" defensive line coach Brentson Buckner told NFL Media columnist Michael Silver Sunday night. "Kelly's been great for us. One man's trash is another man's treasure."

Kelly is symbolic of an organization that team leader Larry Fitzgerald recently compared to the San Antonio Spurs, the NBA's paragon of unselfish success.

"They say everything happens for a reason," Kelly explained to Silver. "I'm happy -- they work me hard but they treat me nice ... and no snow! It's a great group. We believe in each other. We believe in our scheme. And even with some big-time losses, we still feel we've got enough to get it done."

As Chad Finn notes, Kelly wasn't a bust here. He was hurt. And this reeks to me of a lower level coach being baited into saying something critical of Belichick. But how many times this season are we going to read about how Kelly was slighted by BB?

I love Larry Fitzgerald but I can think of one pretty large reason why comparing the Cardinals to the Spurs is off-the-charts stupid.

In fact if there is an NFL comparison to be made to the Spurs it is obviously the Patriots.

And 2003 Carolina Panther.

Approximately 1,324,556 more times.

I'm not sure how you can construe that quote by Brentson Buckner as saying he hates Belichick.

Yeah, he didn't say he hates Belichick, or even that Belichick was stupid for letting Kelly go.  In fact, I'd say Buckner handled that question about as well as he could have.....
