Wasn't sure where to post this, please move if necessary, etc.

I don't know if anyone remembers the old ESPN passport site (they stopped updating it years ago, and I can't even get it to load since the recent site redesign), but the concept was that you could log any sporting events that you've seen in person, and it would keep track of where you've been, teams you've seen, and basic stats (W-L for each team with home/away splits). For someone like me who saves all of my ticket stubs, it was a pretty cool concept.

Anyway, a few years back an organization called Sports Passport took this to a whole other level. They've got sites for baseball (hardballpassport.com), basketball (bbpassport.com), and football (fbpassport.com), that work the same way, but with much more content. Hardball, for instance, has MLB game history back to 1975 and minor league history back to 2002. Basketball and Football have pro and college games going back to 1979 (1966 for the NFL). It tracks win-loss records, how many times you've been to each stadium*, and there's other fun stuff like accomplishment stamps, bucket lists, road trip planners, and photo sharing.

Using the site is free, but they've just started rolling out add-ons that you can pay for (the first, Passport+ is only available for baseball so far - it tracks the stats of every player you've ever seen in person, which is a spectacular time-waster - I've seen David Ortiz hit 23 home runs). The basic site itself is a winner, though, if only so I know things like tomorrow's home opener will be my 162nd Red Sox game (they're 92-69 so far when I'm there).

I'm not employed by them or being paid by them, but I've been helping them build out some of their content. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm selling something, because that's not my intent at all. Ultimately, I just think it's a really fun idea and I want it to succeed. Check it out if you want, and feel free to post feedback - Peter, the guy that runs it, is always looking for ideas to make it better.

* The reason for my accusatory thread title is that somehow I'm 4th place for games seen at Fenway Park, and I know there have to be plenty of members here who have been to more games than me.
