Dude was an undrafted FA, had 1 goal in 11 regular season games, then bags a hat trick in a Game 7 including an OT winner.

Dallas surviving into the final four is pretty wild. Almost as wild as Flyers or Islanders going to make it.

league parity?

Well, I don't think we can draw many conclusions in a COVID season. However Philly was 41-21-7 this year. Only 5 teams had more points.

Dallas couldn’t score worth a damn in the regular season and in the postseason they said to hell with defense and scored like crazy.

Congrats to Dobby for getting them to the conference finals. He faced a ton of shots this series.

I've been commentating on European hockey since 2014, and I'd never heard of Kiviranta - he played his club hockey before this season for Vassan Sport in Finland, which has never been good enough to qualify for the Champions Hockey League (with 4-5 places available every year for Finnish clubs). That is one heck of a story.

How did I miss the game was at 4PM? Facepalm, Ale.
Same here...so fucking annoyed with the NHL. I've basically watched every second of playoff hockey this postseason. It didn't even occur for me to check on a west coast start time before 8pm here. Completely ridiculous they started that game at 4pm on a Friday.

I guess, but it could easily be 2-0. first save of the game and then the stretch with the right pad/toe about half way through.

A major penalty will ruin Vegas’ season again.

I thought Matt Cooke retired. Not sure what the announcers are seeing. Reaves lined up Motte. What a selfish act in an elimination game.

Well that PP won't remind anyone of the Linden/Bure, Naslund/Bertuzzi, or Sedin/Sedin years.

Somehow Reaves is a massive vegas fan favorite despite being one of the dirtiest players in the league

And that's all she wrote.

Not sure about removing your goalie that early only down one.

Canucks offense was so lifeless they couldn't even control the puck 6v5, don't think they were scoring 5v5

Down 2 with 30 seconds left and they're still passing the puck around trying to find a perfect shot

Vancouver has to be happy with how far this young team has gone. They definitely seem ahead of schedule.

Dallas-Vegas should be a great WCF.

Thatcher Demko is almost too BC of a name for me. Nice to see him stand on his head the last few games though. At one point Vancouver was getting outshot 21 to 3 midway thru the second. Hard to win that way.

Has to stink for Dallas and Vegas fans that they don't get to see these games in person. This series could get wild.

I see Reeves' hit as reckless, but not predatory or intentional. There is a perfectly fine way to make a clean hit on the puck-carrier, but it looked like Reeves' momentum had him going the wrong way to make a good check and his last-second attempt to compensate caused him to hit Motte dangerously.

Game, maybe two.
