A lot of games over the next few days. Starts with City-Liverpool, but the big one is at Selhurst Park where pedro1918 attends his first ever PL football game! While I remain a Red, I am an Eagle for the afternoon and “I’m Glad All Over!”

Mon The Eagles. Proper six pointer.

Alvarez is playing up front for City. Pep decided not to risk Haaland.

Gundogan is such a warrior for finding the strength to carry on after that brutal assault from Fabinho.

When there’s a fly ball, a good commentary team watches the outfielders. At some point these guys are going to learn to watch the keeper. Alisson was never worried.

Oh Yes. Salah.

After about two minutes where the commentators blabbered on about Liverpool's poor away record and their away record v City. It was getting depressing.

I mean, bad decision, but you know it's coming whenever you petulantly kick it away -- nothing Hooper could do, not his fault his linesman wasn't watching the duel 5 feet in front of him.

Not the kind of bookings the 'mentality monsters' were picking up in years past

It’s easy to see why Klopp loves Elliott. He works so hard. He’s just not fitting in on that right side.

Trent is not the guy you want to see playing centerfield with numbers against. Pretty pretty goal

edit: Lol Pep giving Tsimikas shit as he walked by

City being so vulnerable on the counter is the source of their pain today, both the goal (and some other real Liverpool chances) and the Rodri situation. Wonder if Pep will change anything up at halftime.

Grealish had a real foul coming. Not mad at Trent for giving the little diver something to think about.

Salah deservedly got a yellow for kicking the ball away after a call he didn’t like (that was objectively wrong). Rodri and now Grealish have now done the same.

I think Liverpool have more back passes than forward passes. The minute the midfield is pressed they panic and back it goes to Allison .. and subsequently lose it from subsequent sloppy passes. Far too tentative. On the other hand , when they do get forward they look like they can create good chances.

Sorry, wasn’t clear. No, Grealish and Rodri did not get yellows for the same behavior. Rodri should be on three now. It’s only fitting he’ll score the winner since that’s what happens to guys that should be off the pitch.

Expecting Tsimikas for Robbo pretty quick … he doesn’t look fit. Also looking like Jota was tiring the last 5 minutes So Nunez by ‘60
Agree on both points, though I don’t have to like it. I don’t know what percentage of Robbo is still better than Tsimikas, but the kid scares me on a fairly regular basis. Feels like a penalty waiting to happen.

Jota has put in a hell of a shift. I would have loved for him to keep up with it and put Nunez on for Gakpo, but that ain’t happening.

Literally the only reason to play Ederson as a goalkeeper is for his distribution and that’s been hot garbage.
