Free goals are fun.

Being able to bring a player like Shaqiri off the bench is just as fun.

Salah with about the easiest goal he will ever score, from about 6 inches out after Shaqiri hit the underside of the bar from a free kick.

3-0 at the half.

How Rui Patricio is at Wolves is anyone’s guess but he just made an incredible save on Fred’s free kick to stop it from getting to 2-0.

Sanchez has looked terrible again so far.

Hoffenheim just missed one of the easiest tap-ins you will ever see. Would've won it.

If Southampton continue to play this poorly, how will Liverpool know which one of their players they should buy next?

Same as all the other players they got from Portugal that a newly promoted team (some they even got in the Championship) should never even get consideration from: Jorge Mendes made it happen. I can't even imaging how much money that Chinese billionaire has given him between agent fees and under the table payments.

That is one of the worst jobs in a wall that I've ever seen. Murray blatantly throws up his arm to block the shot from hitting his head. Easy penalty call.

I have no idea what he was thinking. He blocked his wall mate's head even, not his own. Absurd (but I'll take it happily).

Many players cycled through Atletico de Madrid: Jota and Jimenez were at the club for a bit, while Jonny is on loan. Atletico has relationships both with Mendes and a Chinese billionaire (Wanda). The Atletico-Mendes-China connection always seemed a bit suspect, especially when other third-party owners (of players) got involved. The whole thing is a bit hard to understand.

That is true. Wolves look much better than a just promoted team.

How many players on United are underperforming though? Pogba is nowhere near the play for his cost. Alexis has been absolutely horrific since the transfer, but worse this season. Lukaku looks strong this year, but they whole is lesser than the sum of the parts.

Good game this morning with Chelsea dropping points in a nil nil draw with West Ham.

Chelsea dominated the possession - 72% - but didn’t do a whole lot with it. They generated a few decent chances but Fabianski was superb when he had to be. West Ham could have knicked the points but Yarmalenko missed a sitter header.

IT was weird, Chelsea had all the possession, but I'd say West Ham has 3 of the best 5 chances.
If either of our real strikers (Arnautovic/Chicharito) had been healthy we probably win this.

This is the lineup I've been waiting to see all season, but a pretty underwhelming start for Arsenal so far. A lot of bad giveaways by the back line has given Everton a lot of opportunities and they're lucky one hasn't found the back of the net. At the same time, there hasn't been much going on up top either. I'd like to see Ozil more central to improve the transition from back to up top.
