GJGE Steelers, nothing like knocking your opponent out and then they get back up and get back in it.
Terrible job by the Ravens not going for two - why not try to make it 11 where you can tie it with a TD + 2 + FG? There's almost no difference between 12 and 13 at this stage.
I love it when any call goes against the Ravens, no matter how good or bad it is, after the Pats game last year. IMO, that will forever be the worst officiated game in the history of the NFL, which is saying something.
This is the type of thing that happens when you give a good quarterback like Big Ben serious weaponry all around him. He starts putting up Manning type numbers. He's been in the league a long time, and he's put up pretty consistent numbers, but all of a sudden, he has a running back, three stud receivers (Brown, Bryant and Wheaton) and his old reliable tight end, and this is what you get.
Which of course makes what Brady does with the supporting cast that he has all the more impressive.

It's Brown, Bell, and a bunch of rookies and second-year players. The Haley scheme is the difference.Deathofthebambino said:

Umm, Bell is a second year player too, so I'm not sure what the point is. Anyone who paid attention to Bryant knows he's the real deal, so this is about as surprising as Bell's success, IMO. Wheaton has the ability to be a legit possession receiver in the NFL for a long, long time. You combine those two guys with a top 5 RB, a top 5 WR, a good tight end, and a very good QB, and these are the types of games you'll start seeing more of, especially against overrated defenses like Baltimore. These guys would have success in pretty much any scheme.
Refs let this one get away with the Suggs cheap shot. Almost every play has a cheap shot or an uncalled unsportmanlike penalty.
My point is that the weapons available to Ben aren't all that different from those available to Tom.

The point is you are calling guys studs who aren't close to there yet. Bryant has 5 total games played. You said it yourself; with Bell, 2 good TE's, a top 5 WR, a solid line and an excellent QB, of course those guys look pretty good as defenses have to look out for the better skill players.

Wheaton is a fantastic possession receiver, who gets a lot done with the limited opportunities he gets. Bell is pretty much the definition of a stud, as is Brown. I'm pretty sure we all know who Heath Miller is...
I'm pretty content with how much I've seen of these guys to know they are really, really fucking good as a team.
