That's not going on the Victor Cruz career highlight reel. Can we get some sad salsa music like Fox does with their theme when someone gets hurt?

Wow, tough to watch him cry as he gets carted off. Barely looks like ANYTHING on the replay.

Cruz with a torn patellar tendon.

Don't recall ever hearing a diagnosis so quickly.

Were there always this many devastating knee injuries, or is this a product of HGH?

I think Peter King just said during the commercial break that Dan Bailey (Kicker), kept Marshawn Lynch in check.  Can't wait for MMQB tomorrow.

I totally appreciate Peyton Manning as a quarterback. I really do.

But NBC starting to pimp next week as the Quest for 509 is a bit annoying. I hope Jim Harbaugh shows his defense nothing but that promo over the next six days.

“@darrenrovell: Man who says he had his prosthetic leg stolen outside Eagles game is reportedly Sonny Forriest Jr, known to sing in wheelchair outside games”

Especially after King splooged this week about the Giants' improved offense

It is not possible to be more wrong about anything than King was about the Giants prior to this game.  Predictably, he said nothing about it other than a quick mention of the Giants not showing up.

He did spend several paragraphs talking about how impressed he was by the reaction of the Eagles players and fans to the Victor Cruz injury.  Safer ground for King...

It isn't a good sign for a primetime game when you spend ten minutes of the telecast educating the fans about what one of the teams has been doing for the past 15 years.

I have no idea why the Rams ever changed their uniforms.  These are still fantastic.

The Rams, Broncos and Bucs all changed their unis around the same time in the late 90's.  They all should go back to what they used to wear.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Rams go back to these uniforms if (when?) they move back to LA.

And, while I did like the old Broncos logo much more, I think the Broncos heavy use of their orange home uniforms in recent years is a nice nod to that history.

So, are the Niners really a mediocre squad?

Well, coming into this week they were the 16th ranked team on FootballOutsiders, and when ESPN rotated through their defensive starters some absences really stood out.

That said, this feels like a team that, like last year, could sneak into the playoffs and then make some noise.

I wouldn't say SF snuck into the playoffs last year.  They finished 12-4 in the toughest division in the league.

They look materially worse this year.  The defense is not up to par - they miss Bowman, the front seven is generally less stout and their secondary has lost a lot of talent over the past few years.  Their problem is greater dependence on Kaepernick.

That's fair.  I actually didn't remember them finishing 12-4, I just remembered them starting 6-4 and going into the playoffs I feel like I remember they weren't expected to do much, having to go into Green Bay.
