I really hate watching USC games because of the band. Kind of funny though, they were about to start playing it because of a sack and someone must have told them to stop because USC got called for roughing the passer.

I guess ND might have a chance against FSU.  Maybe Louisville,  but there are not a lot of good teams left on the FSU schedule

Not a lot of good teams on the ND schedule either.

Kentucky comes out with the wildcat with 4:00 to go and down by a touchdown.  They run a few plays with JoJo Kemp at QB, and he gets 20-30 yards.  He taps his helmet to ask them to take him off the field, and they don't and run another play and he busts it for about 50 yards.  He's now getting oxygen on the field, and he'll be fine, but what an effort.  Kentucky ball inside the five, down by 7 with 3+ minutes left.

Awesome.   He takes one play off, comes back in and gets the touchdown.  His third of the night.  Tie game, if they make the extra point, against South Carolina.

The USC/ASU game just went a bit crazy.  With 4:00 minutes left, ASU goes on a 97 yard drive to cut the lead to 2.  After they fail to get the onside kick, USC busts one for a td to go back up by 9.  On the ensuing possession, ASU hits for an 80 yard td.  I think less than 2 minutes have passed since the first td.  Another onside kick coming up.

Realistically, giving up the TD to USC after not getting the first onside kick was probably the only chance that ASU had to get back into the game.  It wasn't intentional, but I've been screaming for years in situations like this for teams to allow the other team a td.

The QB for ASU, Mike Bercovici, has thrown for 998 yards in his first two career starts.  488 last week and 510 this week.  Crazy shit.

How on earth can that even happen?

Don't die tonight, Hambone!

Fun story. Major issues with a vendor to the point I booked a trip to visit a vendor in LA on Thursday. Leave tomorrow. Considered going today, but figured I'd never be  able to sit by my friends and would just be pissed by the back up QB. Now pretty drunk sitting on my couch as realized there's no way I'd make my flight tomorrow am if I stayed up as I booked early enough for Pats game.

Bartender giggled when she closed my tab as it was easily 3x what it usually is.

Holy shit.  Nebraska just got a punt return touchdown to make it a 5 point game (2 points pending).

I can't believe the Huskers are in this game.  It was 27-3 at one point, and they were dead in the water against the MSU defense.  It's now 27-22 with 3:22 left.  Huskers have no timeouts, so I'm guessing they try the onside right here.

Funny Soxhop found my facebook photo.

Can we rename this thread to the awesome week of college football where ASU's backup QB, who will start next year unless a younger guy wins out, had an awesome fourth quarter where he threw multiple touchdowns including a last second hail mary to Jaelen Strong (a rare Juco transfer that had 3 to play 3, but will likely go pro because WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!).

Also if Ole Miss makes the playoff, I'm going wherever they're going.

Timeout MSU with 42 seconds left.  Nebraska on the MSU 35.  Would be the perfect ending to the day (or could be even better if Utah knocks off UCLA later)

Two receivers bounced off each other, and Armstrong threw the slant but the receiver didn't get there, so it got picked.  On the prior play, both receivers ran fly routes about 3 feet away from each other.  Clearly two young receivers with little experience.  I don't know why he wasn't looking for Bell or Westerkamp there instead of the freshman.  Oh well.

And another shoot out breaks out in the Pac 12.  Washington State goes back on top against Cal 31-27.  There have been 21 points scored in the first 4 and a half minutes of the second half. Connor Halliday of WSU, who is the leading passer in college football with 2,318 yards coming into the game (including 4 games with over 400 yards and 2 over 530 yards) already has 441 yards passing tonight.  Outrageous numbers being put up. And WSU goes for the onside kick and they get it.  Wow.

Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Cal QB, Jared Goff has 335 yards passing already.  Goff is a sophomore, who came on last year to throw for 3,500 yards.  He's already at almost 1,700 this year through about 4.5 games.

Halliday had completed more passes this year than 120 schools had attempted coming into the day.  He's already 31/44 today.

Hahaha.  Cal just took the kickoff to the house.  This is fucking nuts.  Penalty on the play though.  Might be coming back.

Nope, td is good.  The teams have a combined 35 points in the second half.  They've only played seven and a half minutes.

Ho hum, about 7 plays, and WSU goes right down the field.  They are back up 45-34.  That's 42 points in 11 minutes this half.

Halliday has 562 yards and 5tds.  Over 4 minutes left in the 3rd.  I think he gets to 700 yards easy.  Question is will he get to 800.  He just broke the PAC 12 single game record, with TWENTY minutes left.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA.   If you guys aren't watching this, you should.  Cal just took the kickoff to the house AGAIN.  Back to back, 100 yards and 98 yards.  This is fucking ludicrous.  Even better, Halliday comes right back on the field.

Guys,  I'm serious.  Turn on this game.  It's 45-41 with 4:25 left in the third quarter.  The teams have 49 points combined in the third quarter.  Connor Halliday already has the PAC 12 single game record of 562 yards and the NCAA record is seriously in play.  The FBS record is Klingler at 716 (all division record is 736, Heinecke had 730 for the FCS record last year).  Cal has back to back kickoff return td's.  I've never seen anything like this quarter.

On the second play from scrimmage, the WSU wide receiver just broke a tackle and went about 50 yards or so.  WSU already inside the Cal 30.

Halliday just ran for about 12 yards.  I'm pretty sure that makes him WSU's leading rusher for the game.  Maybe the season.

Touchdown WSU.  52-41.  Halliday up to 625 yards, 6tds.  2:02 left in the quarter.  Combined 56 points in the third.

Let's see if they can tackle the kickoff return man.

As a fan of offense in college football, this is one of the most fun games I've ever seen, and I don't think there is any chance we don't see serious history in the making.  He's only 110 yards from the NCAA record for passing yards in a game, and I don't think he's going to break it, I think he's going to obliterate it.

Goff has 350 yards passing, and they haven't even reached the fourth quarter.

And he has 270 yards LESS than Halliday.
