I don’t understand how they still call themselves the San Francisco 49ers. Santa Clara is 45 miles south of San Francisco.

looking at the 49ers schedule, they haven't played a division game yet, so that is half of their remaining schedule. that will be a bloodbath besides the Cardinals games. of the six out of division remaining games, their remaining home games are two tests and a probably cupcake: Panthers, Packers, Falcons. remaining road games are a similar spread: Redskins (lol), Ravens, Saints.

if you give the two Cards games, Falcons and @Redskins as certain wins or at least 7-1 including tonight, they should make at least a WC by splitting the rest of the games.

Vinatieri, Gost and Gould all fell off the cliff in 2019.
Vinatieri has bounced back nicely the last few weeks--7 of 8 on FGs and 7 of 7 on XPs and Gould was 6 of 8 on FGs and has not missed an XP heading into tonight. As the broadcast mentioned, the issue there is the long snapper.

It may not be fair, but his announcing exuberance will always be associated in my mind with that Jason Witten Booger McFarland disaster of a year ago. I hate fake excitement guys too.
I can’t put my thumb on it, but he seems like he’s trying to come up with his signature announcing moment on every play. Like the quotes that end up on an announcer’s Wikipedia page.

So for whatever reason we don’t seem to get the ESPN halftime show here in Brexitland, just the actual game broadcast. So we’ve just been treated to a six minute NFL Films Montage, complete with Very Serious Coaches and slo-mo, about the last Super Bowl. I can live with that.

Little known fact. Kendrick Bourne was the #2 receiver at Eastern Washington University. The #1 receiver was Cooper Kupp.

Their offense was fucking ludicrous for an FCS program.

I still remember when Tevin Coleman was a rookie and looked like an absolute stud early, much better than Devonta Freeman in fact. Then Coleman was dinged up and Freeman became a monster while Coleman has been a committee guy ever since. Yes this memory is fantasy related.

"That kind of night for San Francisco" ... No, Tessitore, the Niners are winning, so having to start from the 2 doesn't reflect their night at all
