I felt like an asshole for thinking, unlucky injury there.

Like, because it stopped the clock. Not because it’s an injured person.
The clock is pretty irrelevant. If the Chiefs recover the onside they are going to tie the game whether it is 20 seconds or 1:20. It is all about the onside kick now.

That looked like an onside kick try by a team that never practices onside kicks.

I can't believe I lost the Over on Mahomes having 337 yards passing. He's gonna finish with 321. He had 157 after the 1st 2 drives.

But whatever, they lost, so that's good.

So, is this game a blueprint for beating/disrupting KC?
It seems like Frank Reich watched the first half of the AFCCG on repeat. The only difference then was the Chiefs had a healthy Mahomes and Hill.

Good job by the Indy guy. Smother it and protect. It may seem obvious, but I've seen players get carried away and try to run when the get it in the open like that.

Colts tight ends haven't always been this sharp on recovering onside kicks

Pats showed it last year. Blitz Mahomes and play man to man.
You simply have to keep him in the pocket by containing the edges. Even a great secondary like the Pats can't hold up if you let him get outside the pocket, and force coverage to hold for 5-10 seconds.

FanDuel threw $10 into my account to get me betting again. Would be tearing my hair out if I were finding my own bankroll. Missed a yardage O/U earlier by half a yard, missed 2 separate Mahomes O/U plus just missing on this game in general. Time to get it all back or end my betting season for good tomorrow night, or at least until the next freebie.

306, row 14
Stilll blows my mind that Reid called 46 drop backs to 11 runs in a game where his QB was dealing with an ankle injury and they never trailed by more than 4 points.

Yup. Ends have to stay even with him and hope the inside guys push the pocket back enough to squeeze him in. If the ends crash by him it’s over. He’s out the back door for a big gain or runs around and makes something out of nothing. You have to be aggressive but disciplined at the same time.

If the Browns win tomorrow night, there's just one unbeaten remaining

I have to admit, I'm finding the Colts easier to pull for. A great O-line and running back is like the Steak and Indian Pudding of football basics. And having qb like Jacoby back there, albeit intermittent, is also a plus. Reich seems to be doing a positive job.
