I am torn on this play in the Washington game.

Forwarded Progress was stopped.  The official is running in from the sideline to make the spot,  but doesn't blow his whistle.   Washington ultimately rips the ball out, and picks up the fumble and runs in for the TD.

I get play to the Whistle.    Why does the official run 15 feet from the sideline onto the field to make the spot, if he isn't going to blow the whistlle?

NC State needs to give up on the Wildcat. Everytime they bring it out the either get a false start or a minimal gain and it gets their offense off schedule. Stick with what's working.

The shoot out in Amherst continues.  Bowling Green retakes the lead at 40-35.  The two QB's have a combined 887 yards passing with over 12 minutes left in the fourth.

Love Cincinatti's chances to knock off Ohio State today, now that they've officially gone to the stud, Gunner Kiel.  Score is 7-7 after 6 minutes.  Kiel is 6-7 for 101 yards and a td.  Ho hum.

Maybe I just don't know where Cincy's head is going to be at with the death of the RB this morning.

They may put in an inspired performance for him,  or they just may not be able to focus

Washington with a disastrous decision to fake punt at midfield with less than 8 minutes to play in a tie game.   Absolutely no holes available.

When is Mile Patrick going to be put out to pasture? He is just an awful announcer.
QFT. I remember like 15-20 years ago he was decent on Sunday Night Football. But he just sucks now. Unfortunately he calls a lot of ACC hoops games... and I watch a lot of ACC hoops. Blech.

Woah, BigMike, I hadn't heard about the death of the RB today for Cinci. They are hanging tough right now, but they can't do anything defensively to slow down OSU.  It's 31-20 at halftime.

Anyone else watching this Colorado/Cal game on the Pac 12 network?  Channel 194 on Comcast if anyone is interested.  It's crazy.  56-56 in the second overtime.  Both QB's have 7 td's passing.

Colorado WR, Nelson Spruce went for 19 receptions, 176 yards and 3 td's today.  Through 5 games, he's got 56 receptions, 694 yards and 10tds.

Wow.  Cinci just got a touchdown early in the third quarter to make the score 33-28.  Kiel hit WR, Chris Moore for a td.  Moore has three catches today. 60 yard td, 78 yard td, 83 yard td.  Umm, playmaker.  That's 221 yards on 3 catches.  A measly 73.7 average yards per catch.

He had 3 catches for 35 yards heading into this game

Yale again puts up impressive offensive numbers in beating Army, 49-43 in OT. The star was RB Tyler Varga: 28 carries for 185 yards and 6 TDs.

Yup, 45.  They had 380 yards rushing and seemingly in 10 yard chunks all day.

Nebraska RB, and potential Heisman candidate, Abdullah has 10 carries for 107 yards and a td through the first ELEVEN minutes.  Let's hope Illinois keeps it close enough so that he has to play a full game.  He could put up Tecmo Bowl numbers.

What a great comeback for Mizzou, two TDs in the fourth to win it, right after I thought SC put the dagger in them when they scored to go up 20-7. Mizzou scored a TD in the first quarter, and didn't score again until their last two drives of the game.

Abdullah finishes with 20 carries, 196 yards and 3tds, at halftime.

31-14 Nebraska, so I think we'll see him get the rock for at least another quarter.

The defense came up with a huge 3-and-out as well, after being gashed for the 20-7 TD and only getting an 0:36 offensive possession to recover.

SC crowd looks shell shocked. Just ruins the Saturday night party scene.

Let's see... ND beats Stanford and competes against FSU, avoids a letdown, and they are in the playoff. It is ND, after all.

Late night, party time. USC scores, OrSU runs the ensuing kickoff for a TD, in which the return man comically broke a tackle at the end.

USC has had some egregiously poor tackle attempts this season.

Golson is such a frustrating QB.  A few dumb mistakes mixed in with really solid play.  He broke off a 20 yard run and then fumbled at the end of it.  Fumbled the ball while trying to spike it, costing ND a field goal.  But then he rattled off like 20+ straight passes while looking really good.  And now late in the 4th he throws a pick 6 by failing to read the safety.  His 1st interception was also the result of getting fooled by the safety.

MYRTLE BEACH!!!!
Was at the Clemson game. A few notes. Deshaun Watson is legit. The downfield accuracy is incredible. He's not just a good passer, he's great. Going to see some good things from him. Having said that UNC's defensive secondary is so bad. Can't cover anyone.

I don't get UNC's use of Ryan Switzer. I watched him on a ton of plays. They looked to get him the ball 5-6 times on offense. 1 failed screen, two runs, and a hitch he took to the house and a couple of other targets. The kid is the white Tavon Austin, they are in 3/4/5 wide most of the game and they're just not getting him the ball in space. Huge mistake IMO.

Charlie Weis has been fired from Kansas. Kind of interesting that a loss to Texas (a Texas team very low on manpower at this point, but still Texas) is the breaking point. Still, it's well deserved. It seemed like an uninspired hire at the time, and even with very low expectations he managed to disappoint.

This move does allow Weis to return to his first passion, cashing checks from schools that no longer employ him.

Charlie's lawyer/agent is amazing at what he does. Apparently Weis will see every dime of that $7M buyout he is owed from Kansas. Notre Dame is still paying him about $2M per year under his last buyout clause, and he'll see those checks until the end of 2015.

I want to be him when I grow up. Except maybe 150 pounds lighter.
