Mac still has a higher career passer rating than Lawrence. In case anyone was wondering.
Lawrence really confuses me. After 2022, he looked ready to make a leap into top 10 status and he’s seemingly getting worse.

It's bizarre. His 2023 stat line isn't all that far off from his 2022 breakout year. He threw a few more picks and got sacked more but yards, yards per attempt, etc. was pretty flat from 2022. This year, he's fallen completely off.

They were 8-3 entering the MNF game against the Bengals last year. They lost that game to Jake Browning and have only won 1 game since (a drubbing of the Panthers). I can't recall a team hitting the wall this abrubtly in the past. It's wild.

At least he doesn't have to worry about getting benched since their backup is Mac Jones.

Last year his tape was good, he had an INSANE number of TDs and big plays dropped by his WR corps. This year he looks worse, last year he was good but got banged up. Does seem like he can never take that last step.

Well...if you look at Pederson's comments, I'm not so sure you are correct. I'd guess Lawrence has a bit more rope, but if it continues another couple weeks, it's Mac time.

Jaguars coach Pederson noncommittal on Lawrence after loss - ESPN
If I'm Shah Khan.... if Pederson tries to bench Lawrence I fire him, straight up. He was hired to get the most out of Lawrence and nothing he has done has seemed to work toward that goal, and he's generally seen as one of the worse coaches in the league.

First, Shad is totally responsible for the never ending shit show he's been overseeing for almost a decade and a half... minus two mirages of non-suck.

Doug, didn't hire himself, and the QB may not be the anticipated second coming the Jags faithful here we getting hyped on. He just might have peaked his freshman year at Clemson and is just a guy, a real JAG with a long-term contract and $200-million guaranteed.

Shad also brought in Trent Baalke and promoted him from consultant to GM after firing Dave Caldwell, who should have been fired, but not replaced by this fraud 49ers failure. FYI, GM and coach don't get along.

Let's not forget the Urban experiment, Tom 2.0, all the London calling, and the billion dollar plus taxpayer funded stadium renovation we're on the hook for.

Fuck Shad!

Albert Breer was on the Dan Patrick radio show this morning and, citing Belichick's connections to the Khan family, said that he wouldn't be surprised if BB was given the keys to the organization by 2025 if the Jaguars don't turn it around

Breer/Jaguars/BB begins at Hour 3, 27:15

Not saying he's good, the point is.... Doug is a bad head coach. Trevor Lawrence is a 25 year old with immense upside who has shown he can be a good QB, at no point do you let your bad lame duck coach bench your franchise QB, even if he is struggling.

I should have included that I don't think benching Trevor is a real option, but a coach, even if he sucks, can't give Trevor a free pass after that performance combined with the results he's put up since last November.

No, Gus Bradley was a bad head coach, great guy though.

If I were a Jags fan, I'd prefer the worse GM not be the person picking the next head coach. It would be a total Shad move, so I expect it to play out that way.

I don't think immense is the correct evaluation for Trevor at this point, but as far as Jaguars' top-10 QB picks under Shad Trevor is certainly better than 2-time Super Bowl Champion Blaine Gabbert and Blake Bortles.
