The first mention always goes to the tush push because that's still happening, but man of all the ways we're spoiled as Pats fans, near the top of the list has to be how every crucial 3rd or 4th and inches was almost a gimme with Brady sneaking. Such a fucking garbage call, and if Cousins can't run the sneak because he's hurt, just bring in the backup. The beauty of a good sneak is that it doesn't matter if they know it's coming.

What a horrible call for 4th down.

Of course, every OL getting beat on the LOS made it extra difficult.
Running a stretch just gives extra time to the defense to find a hole and get to the ball carrier. At least if you're going to do it make it a jet sweep and let them decide when to veer towards the line.

Falcons should've hired Belichick.

Christ, the Chiefs are so fucking lucky. They're good, too, but it's infuriating how lucky they are.

Any 4th and inches play that doesn’t immediately go towards the line (or fake) is so stupid
a fake would've been awesome. do a mini flea flicker, throwback to QB, two downfield routes, there's only one FS so one is probably uncovered. Cousins can throw that without even having to move.

Of course, we're talking about an NFL coach facing Andy Reid, so instead of getting creative and being bold, they shit their pants like always.

Yeah, you've set yourself up for total failure if just one of the blocks doesn't go precisely as planned.

You know how many times I have heard Salad say: More games are lost than won.
Both teams were kind of passing back and forth the loser torch at the end. Kelce drop on 3rd down and then Worthy stops running a wide open 3rd down route on KC's last 2 drives. Leading of course to that last Atl playcall

It really is remarkable how most NFL games are decided by a team losing, rather than a team winning.
I was so fucking spoiled for 20+ years. My team could get beaten, but they would never, ever, (almost) ever beat themselves. My coach would call things that sometimes wouldn't work, but at least had logic to them and were responsive to what he'd seen in the game. Players could fail to execute, but they looked like they knew what their job was out there. And when all else failed, Tom Brady could pull some shit out of his ass and still win some fraction of games he had absolutely no business winning. I could count on one hand the number of games we had in the bag and pissed away - shit, most of us here could specifically name them, they were that rare.

This league is almost unwatchable for me after cheering for that for two decades. I knew that I'd miss it, but I didn't know how much missing it would end up pissing me off.

I would lose my mind if I were betting on games given what typically transpires in crunch time.

The 2018 Pats started 8-0. Not saying the Chiefs are that team, but winning close games because other teams keep soiling themselves can indicate potential greatness or the coming cliff.

Maybe you guys are right and the Chiefs are inevitable again, but unless Travis Kelce has another run in him, I don't see it with this passing game.
There is enough in the passing game given that the rest of the AFC doesn’t look that impressive. Nobody has really emerged yet.

It will be interesting to see if KC adds at the deadline. But, for now, I’m taking Mahomes/KC D over Baltimore, NYJ, Buffalo, etc. until proven otherwise. But there is definitely an opening for someone other than KC to emerge.

Any particular reason there are virtually concurrent MNF games tonight?
That's been a thing for a couple weeks the last two years. It's happening again next week and also in Weeks 7 and 15. Not only does it suck, but at least last year the ABC look-in on the ESPN game (and vice versa) was ahead of the actual ESPN game.

I don't think they can currently score and to win the Super Bowl there very likely will be a game in which you'll need to win it in the 30's or put two TD scoring drives together in the 4th at some point. I obviously don't discount the possibility they turn it up to reach that point, but Kelce to me looks toast and the rest of their receivers are gadget players and limited route runners. I think Mahomes has looked off to start the year, but I'm not worried about him.

As an aside, if you are looking for non-Patriots games to watch in a given week.... Old friend Brian Flores is doing some true Sicko stuff in Minnesota, really really fun D to watch.

It especially sucks for fantasy. Now you have basically double the players going a full day after most of the games are complete. It leaves too many things open.

I feel like we all say this, until inevitably Mahomes/Reid put it together in the playoffs. Four Superbowl appearances in six years?

Worthy is one of the fastest WRs in the NFL.
Rasheed Rice is a very good possession/YAC receiver.
Perine is a good catching RB.

Yes, they're not the 07 Patriots recieving corps, but until Mahomes is mathmatically out of a game, I can't ever discount him. Tom Brady made the AFCCG with Reche Caldwell and Doug Gabriel; Mahomes can absolutely do the same thing.

Did Rice come back into the game after getting dinged? (I fell asleep)

He honestly looks like the one guy that could crumble their whole offense if he went down. (Non-Mahomes division)

Let's go Jax.

As the flight attendant on my flight said last week: "I have good news and bad news---good news is if you are connecting to Buffalo, this is your plane. The bad news is, you'll be in Buffalo."

Jags gonna Jags... checkdown to a RB with room... he trips and falls, good throw to the sideline... dropped, 3rd and long... OT holds then shoves the guy right into the QB's legs almost injuring him.

Super friendly refs for Buff rn. Missed an obvious block in the back on the punt return and the dive at Trevor's legs.

wtf happened to the Jags? Headed for their 9th loss in their last 10 games. Does Pederson make it to Halloween?
