Daniel Jones is the worst QB a team could possibly have. You know he's not good enough, he's shown time and time again he's not good enough, but he has the tools to make some plays pretty much every game that make you go "man, if he could put it together...". He won't.

Giants will be like 2-7 or 3-6 at their bye
How long can Joe Judge last? Repeatedly kicking FG’s when going for it was the obvious play, kicking an XP up 5 in the 2H. From my seat, the FT didn’t win this game it was handed to them on a silver platter by Judge (and the lineman on the FG) and they didn’t screw it up……although the FG kicker tried to do just that. NYG is a train wreck for sure but I could see WFT at something like 2-8 in another two months.

The New York Football Giants have been an absolute dumpster fire since 2011. And it brings me more joy than any other professional sports team, in any league.

It's like they looked at '07 and '11 and thought "we're good." No, you're not good. To be successful in this league, you have got grind, improve, evaluate, and get better every single day. You've got to self-scout. Which means not taking a tread-on-the-tires running back with the second overall pick (as great as he was in college). Which means not selecting a quarterback from Duke with the 6th overall pick the next year. Which means not ignoring the offensive line.

To top it all off, you have a head coach, a supposedly special teams guru, having guys jump offsides on the most important play of the game. I'm pretty sure Bill could get me to come in there and coach special teams adequately, out of simply fear. Have you ever seen a Joe Judge press conference? I watch them, out of pure schadenfreude. He makes Dan Campbell look like Alan Watts. Be yeah, run another lap while I talk about about discipline and "watching the tape."

They suck, and I love it.

This is an impressive stat, but will it actually lead anywhere? Maybe its more of a sign of the times in the pass happy NFL.
Well, it's a volume stat. It's not supremely meaningful.

That having been said, I haven't seen and can't really think of an argument that Heinicke isn't at least capable of being a long term starter that isn't predicated on the premise that, in essence, Taylor Heinicke is Taylor Heinicke and is therefore bad. I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to look at the context of Taylor Heinicke and draw some priors, but the fact of the matter is that if you look exclusively at what he's done on the field, especially within the last 12 months, and ignore the name on the jersey, there is very little to zero reason to think that WFT QB#2 is not at least a top-32 QB on the planet. More than that, if I had to win a game tomorrow, I'd probably take him over about 10... maybe more maybe less... other QBs who started last Sunday.

In last year's playoffs, he did better than Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes versus Tampa Bay.

It always baffled me that the WFT could look at that game and be like, "Fitzy is the guy."

What's the best pre-game show these days? I haven't watched any in a while and this morning I was flipping around between Fox, ESPN and NFLN. None of them were watchable for more than five minutes.

Josh Allen flicked that pass 35 yards downfield the way I used to flick bottle caps in my dorm room. Dude has 90% of the arm of Rodgers with 90% of the athleticism of peak Cam.

Tua looks like he broke some ribs after Epenesa has a free run on him.

14-0 is the score, but feels like 35-0 already. Flores has zero answers for Josh Allen.

So, the Raiders look like they have 'mojo' this year. I'm not sure what that is exactly, but I know it when I see it and I know that it helps win games.

Fire the entire offensive line into the sun. All 5 of them. 2 free runners on another 3 and out.

Watching the Dolphins try to play football today is kind of funny.

Everything they do is the opposite of what they should.

The Browns have Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and they keep giving Red Zone carries to the fullback who runs a 6.0 40.

They showed flashes of it last week, but I'm growing more confident that the Raiders defense has improved from very poor to average. The offense looks out of synch with too many penalties and no running game with Jacob out. Talent is still there, but the young offensive line is going to have to mature quick if the Raiders are going to do anything this year.

They called the Herbert play last week a fumble. This week, Jameis fumbles and they call it a forward pass.

This is hilarious reffing. What a mess.

Man, this is something I don't get.

Houston is down 10, 5 minutes left. It's 4th and 10 on their 22. They punted.

Why punt there? You're basically giving up. I know they are on their 22, but if they give the ball back, it's over anyway.

And course, the Browns trying to run out the clock hand to Hunt, hand to Hunt, short pass to Hunt.

No Chubb whatsoever. Ergo, no first down. I just don't get coaches sometimes. You're trying to ice the game. WHY AREN'T YOU USING YOUR BEST PLAYERS?
