How do you get forward progress when you're running backwards on your own?

Broncos were cheating so that comes with an *.
You may not remember this, but during that Broncos run, Peter King did a story about how Shanahan looked for every little edge in winning, including having a guy in the defensive skybox assigned to looking at the other team's defensive signals and sketching them so they could try to decipher them. But I guess he wasn't using a video camera so that made him a genius instead of a "cheater".

That is a really, really, really bad loss for Seattle. This game was basically over. Then the kicker missed a PAT and it was only a 14 point lead and then did nothing for the rest of the game.

Just a brutal loss. And in that division, you cannot afford brutal losses.

Football officiating needs to be burned down and started from scratch after today and yesterday. Awful weekend.

Is Rodney just gone from the NBC SNF production? Would be a shame to lose him for what could be John Smoltz 2.0.
Last week they had him outside the stadium answering questions with Cris Collinsworth's son, which might be even worse than getting fired.

to be fair it was not clear right away, it looked initially like they were saying his knee touched or something. Very weird.
The head ref looking around and asking for somebody to give him a reason not to call a safety. Forward progress call was brilliant CYA move as it couldn't be reviewed.

Sensational, and true.

Yeah, still not really convinced Lamar Jackson is a good QB (that INT mostly wasn’t on him, but that overthrow of a easy TD pass the play before was).

Ravens have an interesting strategy to keep Mahomes from beating them by making sure he doesn't take the field.

Why don't the Patriots run more (any?) run-pass option? Seems like a kind of play that many successful teams are incorporating and doesn't really depend on the QB being a run threat.

I can’t stand either of these teams, so I guess I am rooting for Baltimore since they currently have the worse record.
That La Brea sinkhole could open up on the field and be a better show than what NBC has in store for us

Just side steps through the line and tosses a dead accurate bomb to the back of the end zone off one foot.

Yep. If he stays healthy and KC manages to keep a team around him, he's going to be a force for a long time to come.
