Lattimore is great and he obviously gets under the skin of WRs but that was a clear PI and it didn't get called and then he started talking shit because his foul didn't get called.

Nonsense. The refs can really choke sometimes.

Can someone explain why Rivera would go for two down 8 early in the fourth. An EP would’ve made it a seven point game and if course th me two point try fails.

I was just wondering the same. Scott Hanson on Red Zone said that's what footbally analytics would have you do, but I don't really get it.

I get it if you're down 9, but not down 8...

That was utterly bizarre. The announcers are perplexed as well. It’s Rivera so it’s not out of the question that he genuinely thought it was a nine point differential.

It's because you likely need a 2 point conversion regardless, and if you're going to miss on the attempt, you'd rather it happen with a lot of time left than with no time left and no options.

It’s moot now but down 7 you surely do not need a two point conversion to force OT. They were down 14 when they scored the TD that led to the decision.

No. They were down 8 so the extra point would have made it 7. Inexplicably Rivera went for 2. But as loshjott notes the D conveniently makes it moot by rolling over.

I actually wasn't following the game, I assumed that "down 8" meant before the TD. I get what you mean, it was down 8 after the TD and before the 2 point attempt. Sure, if you're down 14 and get a TD and your goal is to force OT, a 2 pt conversion makes no sense.

Hill, Waddle & the Balt D doing all they can to make Tua look good. (That pass to Hill was under thrown but when you’re open by 7 yards I guess it doesn’t much matter).
