Onwenu said he hadn't practiced at RT all training camp. If you move him there, you'd have change at 2 spots instead of 1 which has ripple effects along the line. For continuity sake, if Durant can handle RT that's the move. If he can't, well that's certainly not good.I think I'd rather they move Onwenu over there, but, still, Durant was a helluva lot better than Herron was on Sunday, so it's good that he's taking over for the big fella.
I was really hoping the Pats would get something out of Cajuste after his good preseason but unfortunately, he is injured again.Onwenu said he hadn't practiced at RT all training camp. Well THAT seems unwise. It's frustrating to me that, in a season where you have two oft-injured starting OT, that you wouldn't think to maybe work out, at least a handful of times, one of the primary emergency tackles on your roster, a guy who's played there pretty effectively in the past.Onwenu said he hadn't practiced at RT all training camp. It's because in theory they liked the depth at tackle with Herron, Cajuste, and Durant. But Herron has gone backwards and Cajuste is banged up. That is already 5 guys getting reps at tackle. You want a 6th to get reps for emergency situations? Clearly they want Onwenu at guard for the long term. I have no problem with their approach to this. It's not like Ted Karras is some stud to plug in at guard.Well THAT seems unwise. Hey! Hey! Hey! We are also weak at linebacker. The Jets are weak at corner and on the offensive line.
Or Sam Darnold?Hey! Hey! Hey! We are also weak at linebacker.
Corners somehow played ok against Carolina but that could have been luck.
