If the Ravens get to play Pittsburgh and then NE they may tire themselves out from all the trash they will talk.

Every Pittsburgh fan I know wanted to fire Omar Epps lookalike early in the season. Now they are division champs. But if Bell cannot play net week, Baltimore stands a good chance of beating them.

The game will be a bloodbath at least. Those teams, and cities, really hate each other.
Bell would be a huge loss, of course, but I would still expect Roethlisberger and Brown to feast on that shit secondary.

Without having to worry about a run offense, that front seven of the Ravens can make up for their secondary.

And Tony Dungee is among the most stupid people on the planet.

The Steelers have been playing very well on both sides of the ball and on special teams...the Ravens have looked shaky the last few games. Bell or no Belll, Steelers win next week.

I will own, as a Steelers fan, that I thought Tomlin had a very undisciplined team that played some very sloppy football during the first quarter of the team...around the same time folks around here were calling for Tom Brady's head. The team truly got better and seemed to find its identity. All that said, their secondary will have to play like it did tonight for this Steelers team to keep moving on.

Momentum is meaningful up to the moment it isn't.

If there is one team the Steelers absolutely won't take lightly or overlook it's the Ravens. The Steelers are better in many facets. It will be a battle, but Steelers will win.

Are you honestly under the impression that teams cease to call run plays when their top RB is out of the game?  Bell is a great player, but the backups are perfectly competent.

Bell's absence probably changes Baltimore's defensive approach, in terms of what responsibilities a given player has, maybe 5%?  10%?  It doesn't magically liberate their linebackers to roam around the field patching holes in the secondary.

But whatever, we'll see what happens next week.

Not Lynn (or Ocean Side)
He said that Nelson claimed that one of Nelson's teammates had said that Tomlin said something deragatory about Nelson, and Nelson called him out on it at the handshake. Got it? Pretty simple. If we can get our hands on the what the note passed at gym class says, we can confirm. Haven't heard from Nelson.

No, I am not under that impression. But when the Steelers back ups cannot run on them, then the Steelers will cease to call many running pays. And Dumerville and Suggs will have fun. We will, however, as you say see what happens.

I know I will be rooting for the Stillers. I would root for the Nazis before I rooted for the Ravens.

I'm watching the local sports news here in San Diego. They're going over the Chargers game and they have former lineman Mike Goff as one of the analysts.

He was referencing the Eddie Royal touchdown that was reversed due to him dropping the ball. He said the automatic review of the scoring replay is one of the problems with the rule and that maybe the competition committee should look into it.

I expect a level of homerism from the local guys but that takes it to a whole new level.

I wouldn't be at all shocked if Bell tore his ACL there - hyperextension injuries can do that. The thing that might have saved him was that his foot didn't seem completely planted at the time of the hit, but either way I'd be surprised if he plays next week.

well it could allow the LBs to get deeper drops if the Ravens don't have to respect play-action and one of the bigger mismatches from last game was Bell out of the backfield being chased by Mosley.

However, Ravens are still missing both starting tackles; if Flacco has a clean pocket he can beat anyone but it's hard to see that happening next week.
