Now is as good of a time as any to start one of these things.

I don’t think there is much to say at this point. Buffalo is an inferior team, and beating them gets the Pats the division and, at worst, the 3 or 4 seed. Let’s go from there.

This Bills team is totally lopsided in that they have a very stout defense with an inept offense, minus the QB's rushing ability. Put a spy on Allen, put Gilmore on Foster and wipe the floor with these chuckleheads.

I really want to see two dominating wins over Buffalo and the Jets. First, because the Pats need the wins. Second, because it clinches another division title. Third, because it gives them a chance to get the #2 seed. And fourth, because we need to see this team begin to ramp up to full power. It doesn't matter if it's against inferior competition. These are divisional games and they're a pain in the ass. Win, win big, get locked and loaded for the playoffs.

This season isn't over yet. The conference is wide open and the Patriots, especially if they can get some home games in the playoffs, have as good a shot as anyone if they can play to their ability.

Well, the 9-5 is in the books, and nothing can change that.

Going forward we probably have the 2 weakest teams on our schedule, at home, to end the season. Let's use that to get things fixed.

You guys are going to complain about the lack of a pass rush in this game. With a very mobile QB, it is essential that the pass rush not go too far upfield. And the edge rushers have got to keep contain. And please for the love of God, BB/BF, use a linebacker as a spy. If for no other reason than to have a defensive body somewhere between the LOS and 15 yards downfield. It should be someone with speed, so that probably eliminates a LB. Maybe Chung?

Offensively, for the love of all things holy, do something. Anything. But whatever you do, don’t do what you did against the Steelers. Because that sure as shit did not work.

Shawn Smith has been assigned as referee for Sunday's Patriots-Bills game. He is No. 14 in your officials' program. Smith was promoted to referee in 2018. His crew averages the second-most penalties called per game this season (18.6).

If the 14-4 discrepancy swings the other way, I am cool with 18 penalties called on Sunday.

so in a pure football sense, it's going to be next man up for Gordon.

Hogan needs to not be a JAG and/or Dorsett shows flashes again.

If we’re worried about the Bills the playoffs should be a blast.

Pats by 20+.

Odd feeling about this game, There is going to be a defining moment when we all realize the dynasty is over and the time has come to rebuild. Was it Miami? Was it Pittsburgh? Will it be today? That being said, they probably win by 20...

Bracing myself for the seemingly inevitable opening-drive score by the Bills, and fully expect to be frustrated at times, but they'll win by 10+.

Dear Santa,

Please bring back the Pats' coaching abilities from wherever it is that you squirreled them away.

Your fiend in Xmas,

Two easy wins to go. Philly beats Houston at home to stay in playoff contention. Another first round bye, a home playoff win and we're on to another AFC Championship.

Exactly. Very simple.

Way back in 2001, we needed the Raiders to lose their last 3 games after starting off 11-2 in order for the Pats to secure a bye. Much, much crazier things have happened.

AFCCG or bust.

Appear to be going with a heavier line this week with Shelton in for Clayborn.
What ever happened to Rivers. Thought he might get a chance to suit up and contain Allen.

Ok. Here we go. 2 home games to end the season. Get the offense clicking again. Get the D to look somewhat capable. Let's go Eagles (weird to write that). Let's get @Mystic Merlin off to the first of his 5 in a row game threads.

Greg Gumbel and Trent Green on the call.

No Fouts! No Nantz!

IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!
Gumbel is inoffensive but I don't think he's a good PBP guy and he sounds like a lower octave Kermit the Frog. Of course, every person who's voice somebody doesn't like gets accused of sounding like Kermit. Better than Fouts and Nantz though. Can't somebody find another Pat Summerall?

Patriots D comes up huge today and this Pats pull away early, allowing us to focus on Hou-PHI.

We seriously need a bye, so the speculation on Brady’s knee can drag on two full weeks.

I have a feeling this team is going to respond very well in the next few weeks and this stretch will be looked upon as the galvanizing time they needed. They've won championships many times where they've coasted into the playoffs. Well, this time they're going to create a new script.

Would be good to lock up a win today.

Pass, run, defend, kick. At least done one of those things well!
