Bruschi asked in his chat why all NFL refs were like 65+. Hard to answer that one.

So, Jerry Rice is a dick. Never knew that.

He's quite humble.

I remember him being bitchy about Moss in the past, as well.

You look at that last PI call and it does make you wonder why they are not reviewable. Pretty much no way you can look at that and think that should be a penalty.

The DPI you guys are saying should've been no call looked a lot like the play on Gronk where the refs picked up the flag -- the defender had both hands on Boldin and his back to the ball, but there was NFW he was catching the ball anyway, with a defender in front of the play in better position (though he didn't make the pick).

Naturally, I have no problem with the flag being thrown.

I mean, it isn't possible for me to disagree with a statement more than I disagree with this.

Except Boldin stopped, unlike Gronk, who tried to work his way back to the ball and was driven backwards.

And you misstate the rule, although you apparently are not alone.

In the Carolina game? Seriously?

Leaving aside the issue of whether it was catchable or not, the LB completely rode Gronk out of the play. Which didn't happen at all in that last play.

Yeah, I thought it looked really similar -- Boldin wasn't going to make the catch regardless, but he got mugged by the defender. You can make a case that DPI shouldn't be called in those cases, but it generally is (which is why the Gronk no-call was outrageous).

Atlanta with nothing to lose, why punt?

I have no idea why Atlanta is even trying. I was out earlier and Falcon fans were going nuts when they scored. I was so confused. They were in the NFC Championship last year. Had some injury/personnel issues and suck. Take the draft pick, which should free up salary cap room.

Roger Craig (except for that one fumble) and John Taylor were big favorites on the great 49er teams. Rice went apeshit if he didn't get tons of balls thrown his way every game.

Harbaugh looks like he wants to complain about something, but realizes he can't.

I don't think we are watching the same game.
