Week 15 Game Thread

What a day. I have been forced to isolate due to a positive Covid test earlier this week (I'm fine), and despite how much I miss hanging out with friends and family, there is no way in hell as a husband and father of 3 I would have had the chance to just watch all of this football from end-to-end today.

Announcer: "Good snap, good hold -- good kick!"

Missed the obvious "...good game!" ending. "no re" would've been optional, but I thought he was building to it.

OK, and that slip-and-slide celebration by the kicker was pretty awesome. Made me like them just a little bit.

This is a good announcing team. There are a lot of bad ones but the last two have been fun.

It worked out but I don’t know, man. Plant foot could easily have slipped.
I enjoyed how the Bills linemen cleared all the show right behind the snapper where the ball would fly over, but didn't clear any of the snow where the kicker was moving or planting.

I thought the same thing.

Yes, it was set up nicely for him to spin out as he started his approach to the ball.

Players and coaches are getting too cute with the “don’t leave time on the clock” stuff. Can’t believe they played for a FG in those conditions.

Scary to think Buffalo doesn't really have a great RB nor a great second option in the passing game. Knox had a good game tonight and there's been a few between Davis and McKenzie, but the dropoff after Diggs is pretty immense. I'm not sure what their cap situation nor the FA landscape for next year looks like, but an upgrade over either of those guys would be enormous for that offense - they've looked like they did in the third quarter tonight a bit more frequently this season than I'd be comfortable with if I were a Bills fan.

Their cap situation isn’t great, given that several vet deals’ cap chargers will escalate and Allen’s extension will kick in.

The Von Miller contract is particularly albatrossy, jumping from 5 million this year to a kind of difficult to cut 20 million per year the next two years. Like most teams now thst Allen is going to get paid they’re going to have to keep doing a great job acquiring talent in the draft waiver wires and cheaper free agents in order to be at the top of the league

IMO, they need to commit to James Cook. He's so dynamic, averages over 5ypc, and is a really good receiver out of the backfield. Like his brother, he can break one at any time.

Allen and Diggs create so, so much gravity both in the passing and running games though. Knox is a pretty good receiver, and IMO, a seriously underrated blocker. Davis is their stretch the field guy at over 18ypr, but he's got a bunch of flaws. As Pats fans know, if you take away all of these other guys, McKenzie can hurt you as a 4th-5th option in the right matchups.

I wouldn't say the supporting cast after Diggs is great, but Diggs and Allen make everyone so much better because they create so much room all over the field due to the attention they both require.

He was in. That’s about as close as it can get and still warrant a reversed call.
It said booth review? Which it shouldnt be (non scoring play as called on field). So either announcing foul up or bs.

But also nfl rules ugh… one can look at Henry’s non td vs the Vikes and this td for Allen, which doesnt ‘looks like a td’ until super duper slow mo. So, I got the former looking ‘more real’ despite the rules and 2mm of pigskin saying otherwise.

Once Singletary eschewed both the touchdown and the first down by going down on his own, they figured the chipshot field goal was less risky than another handoff.

I wish the camera had shown McDermott when Singletary took the dive (or did it) to see if he was all "what the heck?"

Why was Tom Cruise slurring his speech worse than Joe Namath, in that commercial?
