I concern myself with the Pats' situation, but then I think about rooting for teams like the fucking Lions and the fucking Cowboys and I feel a little better.

Fuck you Stafford.  FUCK YOU SCHWARTZ.  Asshole.

Who gets a bye in a 3-way tie btw NE/Cincy/Indy? That's looking like a distinct possibility.

Feels like a long shot but a win vs the ravens next week would be oh so sweet. In fact, in a year when injuries may prevent a playoff run, ruining the ravens year might be a nice consolation.

I would love to see it as well but I don't see any way this team goes into Baltimore and wins.

Oh, Indy goes to KC this week, so maybe not a 3-way tie. Even if the Pats lose next week and win week 17, I think there's a 50% chance or so they get the bye.

Because 3 point underdogs or so never win.

Imagine Brady throwing to Johnson, Stafford is making a shit load of money to come up small time and time again.

We sort of saw that in 07.

Along the same lines, I think Detroit would go 16-0 with BB as their coach.  They've got so much talent on both sides of the ball.

The Bengals win a 3way tie with Pats and Colts.

The Pats lose a ton of tiebreakers, unfortunately (Bengals, Colts, Dolphins and possibly Ravens with a loss next week).

Forgot Colts go to KC this week. Good chance they lose to KC and Cincy may well lose to Baltimore week 17. That leaves both at 10 wins.

Stafford would lose probably at least 3 games, but the talent overall on the team is undeniable. Even their secondary looked good tonight. What a waste.

Apparently, the Ravens win officially knocks out the Jets, or so says ESPN

I have an awesome TV, next to a kick ass Christmas tree across from the most comfortable couch on the planet; that said, I feel like ripping the TV off the wall, slamming it off the carpet, have sparks shoot off it, lighting the tree on fire and having it fall into the couch, setting it on fire as well.

Cannot convey how much I fucking hate, hate, HATE Joe Fucking Flacco and the Fucking Ravens.

Just unreal bad last minute coaching. Why did Harbaugh call a TO with 15 left on the play clock? Why didn't Schwartz call timeout? Results aside, what kind of strategy is it to settle for a 61 yard field goal?

Detroit is bad and should feel bad.

I know, MN almost beat the Ravens last week, NE has a puncher's chance.

I won't lie and say I'm not terrified of Flacco heaving up floaters and Arrington getting flagged a couple times for a combined 130 yards, and Brady marching to the 20 and not being able to punch it in, but the Pats have been in every game this year, and I don't really see why it would be different on Sunday. I think we will lose, but a win wouldn't at all be surprising, and is certainly within the realm of possibility.

Blame Stafford but a lot of that comes down to coaching. A guy hit a crazy long field goal. But the Lions still had time and timeouts to get 35-40 yards and attempt a FG. Instead they look totally defeated and Stafford floats a pass. Then they technically are still alive and the vaunted d line can't stop a simple run.

I hate to give the Ravens credit, but that defense plays tough every play. I haven't seen many of their games but the secondary and line backers hit hard. When Megatron wasn't dropping the ball, he was being punished hard after the catches. Holding the Lions to 16 points at home is pretty impressive.

Right, because I'm basing that off Vegas' lines.

Ravens have always been a bad matchup for the Pats. I don't see a mediocre Patriots team beating them at home. I'd love to be wrong, I'll be at the game.

Cincy is really, really good at home.  They may lost to Baltimore, but I won't bet on that.

I don't know, I tend to go with trends of NFL franchises that develop over years, and something says to me that if it comes down to Ravens/Bengals in week 17 to win the division, even in Cincy, I'd go with Baltimore to pull it out.

Well, you certainly have me convinced that the Pats shot of going into Baltimore and winning is precisely 0%.

So you just used the exact same argument above for Cincy vs Baltimore above and now you're getting on me for this? I'm not trying to convince anyone, it's a game thread. I don't feel good about next Sunday's match up.

I mean, if you have the Pats chances below 33 percent or something like that you are very obviously wrong and I'm being super generous with that number.
