Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch of fellas…Love sad Cowboys faces. Show Jerrah.
I think it would have been hard to deflate Sal after the Soto news.Would have been an incredible guess the lines if this was last night
Without it, how do you handle it, though? Dallas can handle it with impunity? They can’t return it/only can down it similar to the kicking team on an unblocked punt? Both of those seem a bit extreme in opposite directions.I’m not sure I understand why the chaos of a blocked punt allows. The ball to be turned over with a touch by the other team. It seems like a weird rule.
Don’t touch the bouncing special teams ball. Guys lose their minds in the moment.Without it, how do you handle it, though? Dallas can handle it with impunity? I can’t think of a clearly superior alternative.

It was tipped, not blocked. The ball went past the line of scrimmage. So it would be like any other punt in the history of punts that go past the line of scrimmage. When the kicking team touches it, the ball is "downed" there, but the receiving team can try to advance it with no concern.I’m not sure I understand why the chaos of a blocked punt allows. Yup. Football IQ can often be lacking. Oruwariye was just activated so maybe he hasn't practiced on punt return much but...Guys can play football their entire life and not know the fucking rules
The Bengals were the kicking team. So if it had hit a Bengal downfield, it would be considered "downed" like any punt, and dead at the spot, Cowboys ball.. A muff is usually off the kick-receiving team when the receiver touches but doesn't control the ball.It was tipped, not blocked. The ball went past the line of scrimmage. If the ball had hit off a Bengal player, it would have been a "muff", and Dal would have recovered at the spot.
Your permanent record will be duly updated.Sorry- yep, I had it downside-up. But the point of it being a regular punt stands. The receiving team (CBoys) muffed it.
