Man, the Pete Carroll hate is pretty legendary at this point. Why? His days with the Pats were 15 years ago. Who cares now?

He is a smarmy douchebag who should own the fact that he is just as much a dirty cheater as anyone else in football (college or pro).  There is no question he is a good coach but his golly-shucks, grab ass stuff makes him easy to dislike.  Contrast him with Jim Harbaugh (well John too) who pretty much own their dickheaded-ness.

I love how Boldin just got in Sherman's face there.  Boldin is a beast.

Is FOX stuck with the whole Giants game for the NYC market or can they switch away if it gets uglier than this?

I hope Kaepernick spends the offseason in the film room instead of doing a ridiculous amount of weight lifting again. Drives like that remind me what he's capable of.

The hold against Decker could easily have been a pushing off on Decker.

Pollard is a victim of his reputation, Decker fell on him. Much less vicious of a hit than if Pollard actually went for it.

for every 50 reporters tomorrow that say the PI call that helped the pats was horrible there might be 5 that call out that personal foul call

that flag on Pollard is just atrocious. This league has sunk so fucking far.
Those calls are on Goodell and the rules committee. Refs are told to flag it if its looks icky. They aren't downgraded for throwing flags on non penalties, are for missing blows to the head

That's unbelievable. They have to suspend him for a game or something, right? That explanation is brutal.

They didn't suspend Blakeman, whose call and explanation were both exponentially worse, so I wouldn't hold my breath

Triplettes call was way worse. Just overruled a tackle for literall no reason with the benefit on replay

Somewhere
Ha ha.

Like I said in the Panthers game thread, the NFL referees are the worst of all the professional sports officials. Part of this is the nature of the game -- tons of judgement calls to fuck up -- but I'm becoming less and less inclined to give them a pass anymore.

And there's the dumb play from Kaep that happens 2-3 times a game. He just can't stay focused throughout.

Focused how?  Should he focus on the DB not making a nice play?  Should he throw to another receiver? Should he not throw to Crabtree in the red zone?
