Texans! Jags!

Because you aren't going to watch Knicks-Nets, are you?

Or feel free to discuss the live Carrie Underwood "Sound of Music." Whatever floats your boat.

This game is so bad, that I'm in a 16 person FFL and in our 4 playoff games there's a total of one player active tonight (A. Johnson).

Here
Thursday Night Football, outside of Thanksgiving, is a trainwreck. Please make it stop.

Carrie Underwood in "The Sound of Music" is akin to Justin Beiber replacing Burl Ives as the narrator in a remake of Rudolph.

Just an all around shit Thursday night.

If MNF can get good games scheduled (which they are all not, some turn into mismatches like SF - Wash or become who cares like MN - NYG) why can't Thursday Night Football? In other words, I'm not ready to trash Thursday Night Football.

This is why gambling (and FF) was invented. Throwing some money at the Jags money line might actually be a fun bet. You could spend a few hours rooting for Chad fucking Henne.

For the record I would be putting a slab of money on JAX if I could trust myself to gamble responsibly. HOU is cooked and JAX is growing in confidence every week. The home crowd will be loud tonight as this city has humorously started believing in this team like Seattle fans did last year. 20-10 Jaguars.

Thursday night football should be trashed because the football sucks, not because the matchups suck.
NFL game on Thursday night vs. Monday night, is it the short week for the Thursday night teams that make the games suck? Just trying to find a difference.

Yes, I think it is pretty obvious watching the Thursday night games that the games suck due to the short week of preparation for the two teams.  There have been some awful, sloppy games on Thursdays the last two years.

Anyone watching this?

From the little I've watched of the Texans this year, I think DeAndre Hopkins is going to be a really good WR.  Seems to have good hands and runs decent routes.

At 2-10, the Texans need to be focused on the #1 pick at this point. Stay focused and keep playing shitty football.
Mission being accomplished. Would have been awful to have lost to these guys....

Based on this game, I think the correct response to Antonio Smith is that Belichick couldn't have spied on the Texans during practice, because I see no proof that the Texans ever practised.

16 team league and no one has Cecil Shorts or Ben Tate (or even MJD) active?

Shitty league.

Celtics - Hawks 1987 Game 7 is on NBA TV. That's been better than the game.

2nd and 8 and the Texans get 7, officials move the chains without measuring. Texans end up putting one in behind Matt Schaub's comeback. The zebras are equally as inept as these two teams.

Between this game and that live Sound of Music it was a beautifully awful night of TV in the Nip household.

If you're a fan of football in adverse weather conditions, may I suggest Chiefs @ Redskins and Vikings @ Ravens tomorrow.  Snow/ice storm bearing down on the DC/Baltimore area.  Should be fun.

Should be fun, I'm actually thrilled that the Super Bowl is outdoors in NY this year -- hoping for a big storm. Just makes football more epic, not sure why. And, while the weather won't be as dramatic, this is a Board full of Peyton lovers and I know it'll be fun to see if he can beat his cold weather hex against the Titans (a loss would be a big time help for the Pats). :)

I love watching snow games. Philly and Baltimore look like they both have crazy conditions

I guess Tomlinson will have a good excuse if he wanders onto the field again today, he can claim he can't see the lines.

How FOX is superimposing the yardlines on the field is pretty cool.
