Holy crap.  Anyone watching the Baltimore game?

Ravens score and get a 2 point conversion to go up 15-12.  With 2:06 or so left.

Vikings score a TD in 3 plays to take the lead 19-15 with 1:16 left.

Jacoby Jones returns the kickoff for a TD.

Philly won the NFC East today. Can't see how Dallas can match them with Philly's remaining schedule. Dallas couldn't take advantage of the Lions like the Eagles did and Dallas gets a returning Rodgers next week instead of the Wallace/Tolzien poo-poo platter.

And the Vikings take the lead back.

What's the ruling if the foot you drag never leaves the ground and drags out?

I think you have to be pretty lucky to score on a catch and ladder and pitch, pitch, pitch, pitch, and pitch play from your own 20 ---- that said, as a Miami fan, I almost quit watching football today. That's how brutal that loss would have been.

Speaking of BS PI calls ...

Yup, pretty weak, but the game wasn't definitely over with that call. The Pats still had plenty of time and it was only second down. The Baltimore PI was an INT and game over.

A Pats score was definitely still in play, even with that incompletion; it's just frustrating as a fan of the game to see close contests decided by ridiculous penalty calls every week. The PI call is turning the NFL into the NBA. If it isn't absolutely fucking clear-cut PI, let the dudes play.

Oh, so that batting rule serves no purpose on a punt. Brilliant play I guess.

I still don't understand that batted ball ruling.

Well, it was still technically in possession of Seattle because the ball never passed the LoS off the punter's foot. So, basically, San Fran either accepts and it's 4th down from the 5, or they take the ball where the play ended.

That's one of those plays where I think the rules committee probably never envisions it happening. It seems to make sense that an exception should be made on punts like that.

Ah, that makes sense.

Can someone explain the blackout rule? Fox Boston is blocked out on my cable system in North Attleboro so I'm stuck with Chargers/Giants on Fox Providence because RI has an idiotic cluster of NYG fans.

I'm in the same boat. Thank God I bought Madden with the Direct-TV deal. It's the best game I've ever purchased, and I only played it once.

St. Louis just got screwed vs Arizona. Recovered a fumble that should have been returned either for a very long gain or a TD, but because it was called an Arizona TD on the field not only did it come back to the 20, but St. Louis got a Personal Foul call for a very legal block on the QB.
