Scott Parker looks more and more like a bronze statue* every time i see him. He really is a wonderful man

Edit: *From the 1950s

Booby going down easily after Mane clipped his heels is the perfect end to that half.

Fulham deserve to be 2-3 up - thought there was no chance the VAR on Fabinho's challenge would come back as just a corner.

Rotten luck that Robinson clipping Mane deprives Firmino of a goal on Robertson's delivery, but I'll take a 1 goal deficit after that display

Edit: nice that Oxlade-Chamberlain is back fit, feels like the type of match where he could make an impact coming on for Jones

I can’t say I’m thrilled to see Minamino. I’d rather play with 10 than have his disruptive presence in the attack.

Now go prove me wrong.

Oh. Matip injured. Yeah, he’s played an awful lot for walking origami paper. Now it’s raining and he’s dissolving.

My desultory FPL research showed that Fulham have been slowly improving below the radar.

Of course I started Jota this week so what do I know.

It’s my standard jibe to say Pep’s dream is to play 11 midfielders at once, but Klopp is actually quite close to it today.

Is this a result of fixture congestion, or is that excuse-making?
Fulham are good and are playing in front of a crowd. Liverpool are starting to assert some dominance now even in their depleted state. Fixture congestion is going to b a fact of life for the top of the table (except ManU). Whoever manages it best likely takes the title.

Henderson is now playing center back. Fucking hell.

Can't take anything away from Fulham for their performance so far, they've been by far the better side for the balance of the first ~60'. Liverpool look like a team unprepared to deal with Fulham's press for the first 25-30', and without any ideas for how to get around their 5ATB setup. Salah's chance was a moment of brilliance from Trent, but otherwise it's been real quiet

edit: I should say, Anguissa and Loftus-Cheek are doing the job of 3 midfielders in this setup, they've been incredible

Henderson takes his 1v1 with the keeper like a center back. That was embarrassingly awful from the skipper.

I thought Matip was your best partner for VvD last year. It’s too bad he can’t stay healthy I think there’s a good player there
Yeah, he's been solid to very good when healthy, but he's not someone that can play a couple games a week for a few months. It was the matter of when, not if he came off injured.

It would be interesting to change time wasting to a team offense. First player that does it gets the first warning. Second player then gets sent off. Giving 6 guys yellow cards actually makes the problem worse since none of that wasted time gets added back.

Long balls over the top against this back 3 with a short from 3 haven't been working all game. The solution?

Henderson keeps pumping long balls over the top

TAA range here, but of course he was subbed already.

Honestly, I'm not in favor of that being a penalty, even if it would help Liverpool.

I was preparing myself for that to be saved, the way today has gone. And actually , the keeper should have stopped it.

With all of the emphasis on the stupidity of the handball this year, that was utterly brainless of Kamara. Arms up, outside of his body, made himself bigger. He created the situation the rules can’t handle.
